To see and do in Varekil and the surrounding area Varekil is located in the south of Orust and is perfectly situated for excursions to many of Orust's pearls, including Ellös with its beautiful nature or Svanesund with its nice children's and disabled-friendly swimming area. The picturesque fishing community of Mollösund or take the ferry from Tuvesvik out to fantastic Kärringön. If you want to experience a day of big city life, Gothenburg is not far away. By car you can get there in about 1 hour. Here you can shop, visit one of the museums or visit the Liseberg amusement park. Yes, there are many choices.
