Other things to note The holiday🏡 home is located on Valea Izei in the town of Barsana, 3.5 km from Bârsana Monastery, also in the locality there is the Wooden Church "Entrance to the Church" - The church was included on the list of UNESCO world cultural heritage together with seven other churches in Maramures County in December 1999. It dates from the year 1711. 📍At 25 km in Dragomiresti there is the Romanian Peasant Museum. 📍At 43 km in Vișeul de Sus you can go on a trip with Mocănița on Valea Vaser! 📍At 21 km in Sighetu Marmatiei you can visit : Memorial of Pain - Memorial to the Victims of Communism and the Resistance; The Maramurean Village Museum is a landmark opened in the year 1981, which groups, mainly, a collection of houses specific to the Maramures area. Elie Wiesel Memorial House - This is the birthplace of Elie Wiesel, the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize winner who grew up at Sighet with his family, before being deported to Auschwitz. In 2002, the museum was opened by the writer himself and features a large collection of photos, furniture and other objects belonging to him and the Jewish community of Sighet. 📍At 38 km is the Merry Cemetery and Săpânța Monastery, there are 2 tourist attractions in Săpânța that attract the year an impressive number of tourists.
