It is located within an elegant historic building, carefully and fully renovated in 2015 with respect for its original structure, and equipped with an elevator. The building preserves the charm of its period architecture, set in one of the most vibrant and historically rich neighborhoods of the city. From the sunlit balconies, the view opens onto the Fontana del Genio and the life of the square, with its lights, voices, and unmistakable Palermo atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to start your day slowly or to enjoy the rhythm of the city in the evening. The apartment, approximately 100 sqm, is spacious and airy, finely renovated and thoughtfully designed, featuring high ceilings, wooden beams, and exposed tuff stone walls that reflect its history. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and independent heating. The entrance opens into a bright open-plan living space overlooking the square: a welcoming and lived-in environment where the modern, fully equipped kitchen blends seamlessly with the dining and living area. The space is designed for relaxing and sharing moments together, enriched by a large bookcase, TV, stereo system with vinyl records, and a wall-mounted piano, creating a warm and personal atmosphere. The bedroom is quiet and intimate, with a comfortable double bed and a spacious wardrobe. Casa Rivoluzione is located in the heart of Palermo’s historic center, within a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), which can only be accessed after purchasing the appropriate pass. The apartment is about 600 meters from Palermo Central Station, the city’s main hub for trains and urban buses, with direct connections to the airport and to Sicily’s main tourist destinations. Thanks to its central location, the main artistic and cultural attractions are easily reachable on foot. ⚠️ Unless you have specific needs, we do not recommend renting a car to move around the city center: the presence of the ZTL, heavy traffic, and limited parking make driving impractical. How to reach the apartment – If you arrive: ✈️ From “Falcone–Borsellino” Airport - Train (recommended): “Palermo Airport” → “Palermo Central Station”. Ticket: €6.80, frequent and fast service. - Prestia & Comandè bus: Approx. €7. Final stop at Palermo Central Station or request stop on Via Roma (Roma–Vucciria, about 650 m from the apartment). - Shared taxi: approx. €10. - Private taxi: €45–50 (we recommend agreeing on the fare in advance). 🚉 By train (from the airport or other locations) - Getting off at Palermo Central Station, you are already about 8 minutes on foot from the apartment (Via Roma → Via Divisi → Piazza Rivoluzione). - Alternatively, for specific needs, you may take a taxi or bus no. 101 (ticket €1.40), stop “Roma – Palazzo Ganci”. 🚗 By car ⚠️ WARNING – Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) Casa Rivoluzione is located within the ZTL. Anyone wishing to enter the historic center by car must purchase an access pass, valid until 8:00 pm on the day of entry. Pass cost: – €5.00 for petrol or diesel vehicles – €2.50 for LPG or electric vehicles ZTL active hours: – Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm – Weekend nighttime ZTL: active during evening and night hours (times may vary). ➡️ Parking information: A) Without ZTL pass Free parking is available: - on Via Lincoln (about a 5-minute walk, via Via Garibaldi → Piazza Rivoluzione) - or along the Foro Italico (about a 15-minute walk, with a pleasant seaside stroll) B) With ZTL pass - (Street parking inside the historic center is allowed at no extra cost beyond the pass, but availability is very limited. Finding a spot requires a lot of luck; therefore, this option is generally not recommended!!!) - Secure garage (recommended) After purchasing the ZTL pass, a secure paid garage is available very close to the apartment: Autorimessa Ajutamicristo, open 24h. Walk to the Crispi – Scinà stop (about 4 minutes, 250 m), take bus 107 and get off after 4 stops at Vittorio Emanuele – S. Maria della Catena. From there, walk about 10 minutes to the apartment. b) Alternatively, walk to Via Roma (about 14 minutes) and take bus 101 from the Turati – La Lumia stop. Get off at Roma – Lattarini and walk a few more minutes. - On foot (for those who enjoy walking) About 30 minutes (2.4 km).
