Nestled in the High Weald AONB, between the two historic towns of Tenterden and Rye is our shepherd's hut "Gordon's View". Located on a quiet working farm our hut has beautiful uninterrupted countryside views and is situated in it's own field with peaceful surroundings that make it feel very private. The large patio doors opening onto the outside seating area, the wood burner and the underfloor heating all make for a comfortable stay at any time of the year! The space Our shepherds hut is fully equipped for your stay. A kitchenette with a two ring induction hob, microwave, kettle, fridge, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, sink with washing up essentials. An ensuite bathroom includes a shower, sink and toilet. The full size double bed also converts into an indoor dining table or there are lap trays provided if you prefer "breakfast in bed"!! Outdoor private patio with table and chairs overlooking stunning countryside views. An adjoining summer house is for your exclusive use so whatever the weather you can enjoy dining/drinking outdoors in comfort! The shepherds hut has underfloor heating keeping it cosy throughout the day/night during the winter months. You'll find an indoor wood burner and an outdoor firepit with logs and firelighters included for your use. A BBQ is available during summer months (charcoal is not provided-but I'm happy to buy some in for you to repay me at check in, please advise prior to your arrival) 🙂 Guest access Gordon's View is situated in a private field and you have full use of the huge lawn in front of the hut! Other things to note Gordon's View is located on a working farm and although it is quiet there are the occasional farm vehicles driving through the yard so please take care if using the public footpath through the farmyard. We have a dog (called Bruce) that is generally in our garden but on the odd rare occasion has walked over to the shepherds hut. He is a Huntaway breed and super friendly if he approaches you but should he stray over to the hut before I notice please tell him to "go back" and not be tempted to make too much fuss of him or to feed him!! If you have a fear of dogs please just let me know in advance.
