Description
Farm within the nature reserve Barbas-Bremen, surrounded by nature, waterfalls, water springs, a variety of birds, native forest, ecological trails, organic crops. Typical house of the coffee region with more than 50 years in "bahareque" of wood and tile in mud, the stove works with wood, in the house lives a traditional local farmer family with which space, its customs, and culture are shared. It is an ideal place to disconnect from the city and meet nature and its essence. The space Reserve La Rivera is surrounded by native and fog forests with fauna and flora typical of these heights (2.200 masl). Our Permaculture Master plan guides our sustainable productive models of medicinal plant crops, native tuber garden, flowers, fruit forest, composting and worm farm and forest-pasture systems of animals. With the possibility of walking through 7 wonderful paths that will take you to discover rivers, forests, diverse birds or the top of a mountain. Part of the experience at Reserva La Rivera is not having electricity, which makes it an exotic, different and special space, the nights will be unforgettable looking at the stars around the fire, this fire will be done as long as the weather conditions allow it. Guest access The house is inhabited by the family of farmers with whom you share the bathroom and the kitchen, this with wood and gas stove, dining room, stone laundry, table and chairs, hammock in the corridor, garden with swing and chairs outside. There are a coffee and medicinal plants available to visitors. It is a magical place to go back in time and live in the midst of simplicity, comfort, and nature. During your stay You will share especially with the family of farmers who live there. The owners of the project are constantly between the farm and Armenia and we will be available to the guests. Other things to note We can make tours of the crops explaining the methods of sustainable agriculture used (Permaculture). Conscious walks and bird watching excursions crossing different parts of the territory. From going to the Otun Quimbaya Wildlife and Flora Sanctuary or the Ucumarí Regional Park in a 4-6 hour walk back and forth until early bird watching with an expert from the region. You can walk down to the Boquía River (2-3 hours round trip) to take a bath of very cold delicious water transiting through a beautiful and diverse forest. Tours to other places in the department such as Salento, Cocora Valley, Filandía, coffee farms, Coffee Park, PANACA, among others. These activities are subject to availability and should be consulted at the time of booking to review the calendar of activities.
