Surrounded by World Heritage Sites, this fully renovated traditional home blends modern comfort with traditional charm and awaits your arrival. This nostalgic guest house is perfectly suited for tourists who want to explore the local charm of Yakushima. Enjoy a memorable stay in the rich nature and culture of Kurushi. The house has 4 bedrooms, perfect for group travel, family vacations, company team building, or spiritual retreats. The interior is equipped with the most advanced facilities, exquisite design and high-quality furniture, so that every guest can feel the special hospitality. At the same time, the homestay also supports cooking and laundry, so you can spend a cozy time like the locals. Please note: For hygiene reasons, no condiments are provided. ★ There is a sauna room diagonally opposite the house. Guests can enjoy a complimentary sauna session! (Reservation is required in advance) Relax in the nature of Yakushima! The space This is a single-story Japanese-style house. The spacious living room can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests and is equipped with a rare cedar dining table that is no longer commonly manufactured. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning. ● Kitchen The kitchen is fully equipped with a full kitchen, pots, microwave, rice cooker, toaster and countertop IH stove. Plenty of dishes and cutlery are also provided. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher for guests who like to cook to easily clean the dishes. Please note: No condiments are provided for hygiene management reasons. ● Dining Room The dining room has a cedar dining table that can accommodate up to 10 guests at a time! ● Living room The living room has a big screen TV, sofa and cushions for relaxation. PS5 and various table games are also available for your use. ● Bedroom ① Western-style bedroom with 2 beds for 2 people. ● Bedroom ② Western-style bedroom with 2 beds for 2 people. ● Bedroom ③ Japanese-style bedroom with up to 3 sets of futons for up to 3 people. ● Bedroom ④ Japanese-style bedroom with up to 3 sets of mattresses for up to 3 people. ● Toilet There are a total of 2 clean and tidy toilets with elegant décor, both with bidet. ● Bathroom & Washroom Shampoo, body soap and conditioner are provided in the bathroom. There is also a Dyson hair dryer and drum washing machine (with detergent) for you to use during your stay. Bath towels Face towels - Toothbrushes - Shampoo, body soap, conditioner - Disposable slippers Please note that pajamas are not provided. Guest access You can use the whole house by yourself. There is no shared space with other guests. Other things to note ◆ The sauna building is free to use, but must be booked in advance. Please be sure to let us know in advance if you need to change. ※ An additional charge will be made if overcrowding is found. ◆ This accommodation is located in a [residential area]. (The back door is connected to the road on the side of the “Sauna Building”) The dedicated parking lot is about 1 min walk. Please be sure to confirm the location information we provide after booking. ◆ Yakushima Island has only buses as public transportation and the frequency is low. It is recommended to rent a car for local travel. ※ The number of rental cars is limited, please make a reservation in advance. ----------------------- ■ Transportation to Yakushima is susceptible to weather conditions and may not be available on the day. The relevant cancellation policy is as follows: (* also applies to consecutive stays) In order to avoid disputes and ensure a pleasant trip, the following rules are set. Please understand before making a reservation. ・ When all flights, ferries and high-speed boats to Yakushima are suspended ・ When all flights to Kagoshima Airport, Kagoshima Port, and Shinkansen are suspended → The cancellation fee will be fully refunded. ・ When either shipping or aviation is still running and is not full → 50% of the fee will be refunded if the guest decides to cancel. There are two types of shipping vehicles (Ferry Yakushima 2, High Speed Boat TOPPY). Even if the ferry Yakushima 2 is stopped, the high-speed boat TOPPY may still operate normally. The above provisions still apply in this case. If the weather is expected to worsen, please consider alternative transportation options as early as possible.
