The space CHALET SISSI SEAVIEW is my personal happy place – and since 2024, I’ve been sharing it with guests who want to experience Crete in a peaceful, authentic, and stunning setting, far from the usual tourist trails. Here’s a good idea of what to expect. If you have any questions, just reach out! The house is 57 sqm, with three balconies and a spacious terrace – perfect for enjoying outdoor living. My past guests have told me they loved the layout, especially the outdoor areas, which made it ideal for couples in love, solo travelers looking for peace and quiet, small families, or a group of friends. Every room opens directly to the outside. Location: The chalet is in a small, authentic neighborhood where you can experience real Cretan life. The guests I’ve hosted so far have all had one thing in common: they were looking for a peaceful place to stay that’s still close to exciting destinations. That means you might encounter insects like ants, spiders, or even the occasional local cockroach – especially if windows are left open. Not wheelchair accessible: There are steps and elevation changes – the stunning view comes with a steep hillside location. Low season / cooler months: Please note that the house has no heating. Hot water is, of course, always available. In very rare cases of heavy sideways rain (mainly in autumn/spring), some water may enter through the balcony doors. A towel is provided for wiping it up – Cretan weather sometimes has a character of its own, and this can affect buildings all over the island. Typical Greece: You might see some unfinished buildings in the area, but they won’t affect your stay. Authentic neighborhood: The surrounding area is home to real Cretans. That means you might see a farmer passing by on his tractor, hear a shepherd’s sheep, or occasionally notice a dog barking at night. The only thing that reminds you you’re on a touristy island is the evening live music from a nearby hotel, which you might hear on the balcony for about two hours, depending on the wind direction.
