L'Antica Colonna residence, an elegant and recently renovated residence, is located inside the historic Gherardi Palace a short distance away from all the main places of interest of Parma's city center. The space The apartment, with modern facilities of the highest quality, exquisite style and elegant decor, offers a perfect mix between the charm of the past and contemporary comfort. It is located on the ground floor of Palazzo Gherardi dating back to 1400 although some scholars identify its origins even earlier in 1300, believing it possible that it was Petrarch's home when he lived in Parma. Upon entering the residence, guests will be delighted by a bright and airy atmosphere, enriched by refined furnishings and design details. It has a private entrance, 1 large and spacious double bedroom for 2 people that feature a wardrobe for clothes, a comfortable retro armchair and a window with shutters that allow you to create a completely darkened area at night. Furthermore, the bedroom window looks into an internal courtyard. Continuing along the corridor you'll step in a open space where there is a fully equipped eat–in kitchen with dressing table and chairs, fridge with freezer, static oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, induction hob, tea/coffee making facilities coffee machine, kettle and toaster. The ancient column, that gives its name to our venue, dates back to XIV century and is placed in the center of the open space and outlines the border with the living room where there is the double sofa bed fit to accommodate 2 additional guests; the same space is furnished with bookcase, the table with HD flat-screen TV, free WIFI and a beautiful decorative walled fireplace from Renaissance period in sandstone and Carrara marble. The apartment is equipped with sheets, set of towels, hairdryer, washing machine, iron and ironing board, courtesy kit and first aid kit. Heating and 2 splits for air conditioning are present (1 in the double bedroom and 1 in the open space) and they are autonomous. All windows are equipped with blackout shutters for the night.
