The space Built around 100 years ago, this wooden chalet exudes typical Swiss Alpine charm. It has been lovingly designed and furnished with everything you need to spend a few wonderful days in Kandersteg. You enter the house via the stairs from the ground floor and climb another flight of stairs to the upper floor, where you will find the door to your apartment. Once inside the apartment, you will find yourself in the tastefully furnished dining and living area. To the left is the small but perfectly formed kitchen, equipped to a high standard and with everything you need. If you want to prepare your own meals, you will find everything your heart desires. Next to the kitchen is the small and functional bathroom with shower. From the dining and living area, you can access the two bedrooms with queen-size beds. You can enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains from your bed. Power outlets for charging various devices are located directly on the bedside table. The apartment is heated by oil heating, which is located in the dining and living area and provides pleasant warmth. A parking space is available directly in front of the house. Wi-Fi and a smart TV with BlueTV are also provided. The dining table is not only suitable for hearty meals, but also for cozy games with the board games provided. The apartment is one of two in the house; there is another vacation apartment below you. This means you can enjoy privacy, but also have the option of booking the chalet together with friends or family if required. The gondola or the ascent to the now world-famous Lake Oeschinen is less than 15 minutes' walk, more like 10. You should plan 1.5 - 2 hours for the hike to the lake. Kandersteg offers an incredible range of activities: Mountain biking (rental possible in the local store) incl. Trail Sunnbühl, various hikes in all directions up to 2600m altitude and more for experienced hikers, summer toboggan run at the Oeschinensee mountain station. The Gasterntal offers impressive views and in the summer months there is a regular bus service for all those who don't want to/can't walk. About 10 minutes away (car/bus) is the equally well-known Blausee Nature Park.
