A remote refuge surrounded by nature and nestled in the idyllic Carinthian cultural landscape. THE LOCATION To create an exclusive and completely private atmosphere, there is always only one group on the entire property. You have your own nature park and almost 700,000 m2 of forests and meadows at your disposal. The retreat space itself includes a 500 m² location embedded in an old stable building. The largest area of this is a 250 m² feel-good room with underfloor heating and fully equipped workshop & work areas as well as chill-out areas, an open kitchen and dining area with fireplace. The former stable building is surrounded by an idyllic outdoor area with pool, sauna, hot tub, yoga terrace, a vintage car garage with BBQ and conference equipment and much more. The architectural concept of I-am-Escape is inspired by the aesthetics of surrounding farms. At first glance, the property looks like an idyllic Carinthian farmstead. Only at second glance does the reinterpretation of traditional forms and its modern technical amenities become apparent. At first glance, the former stable building also looks like a traditional barn with the typical larch wood facade. Only when entering the open-plan 250 m² room do the changes become apparent. For example, the middle part of the ceiling to the upper floor was removed and replaced by a 5-meter-high glass facade, which can be completely opened to the garden. The former stable shines in bright light. The spacious terrace with fireplace invites you to relax and enjoy. With the preservation of the old structure of the stable building, the loft on the ground floor is a contemporary addition with old and new materials, a combination of industrial charm and modern comfort. The core of I-am-Escape is a 250 m2 wellness room, fully equipped with underfloor heating and all technical refinements. This space is designed to perfectly adapt to the most diverse needs. It not only includes mobile work areas with tables, mobile flat screen, Apple TV and projector, but also impresses in the middle of the room with a long table, crowned by a chandelier that invites you to eat, work or play together. A floating gyro-focus fireplace lets you relax in the evening by an open fire and opposite is the fully-equipped open kitchen with the latest appliances. The different areas in the main room are designed to stay connected and strengthen the sense of community. They can be easily adapted to the needs of our guests, whether it's a business retreat or a family celebration. There is always a perfect place for in-depth conversations, a cozy game night in the group, or a brainstorming session. ROOMS Upstairs are six bedrooms for two people each, which can be reached via spiral stairs. Each box has been individually aligned so that a large panoramic window frames a very special natural section. A bed placed directly in front of the window invites you to let your gaze wander and find peace through the untouched nature. The boxes on the top level impress with a view over the entire valley to the Italian-Slovenian border. The 3 boxes on the middle level overlook an enchanted and wild forest with pond. The 5 forest and panoramic rooms are between 10 and 16 m² and have a private and modern bathroom with toilet and shower. The rooms were deliberately minimalist, but designed with a lot of attention to detail and with designer furniture accents. Another loft-style bedroom is located in the gallery area of the upper floor and offers an open view of the living area and the spacious terrace. TRANSPORTATION From the valley, we offer our own shuttle services with a small fleet of different four-wheel drive vehicles such as Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G-Class, etc. directly to the farm. Especially for team-building events, this self-catering principle offers a perfect opportunity to grow together in everyday life and get to know each other better. Or let us know and we'll take care of everything in advance, from the full fridge and wine cabinet on arrival to local caterers or a personal chef on site. The interactions between the traditional rural and urban modern world offer countless opportunities to inspire each other and rediscover things. This philosophy of sustainability is part of I-am-Escape. Being on a farm that has lived in the rhythm of nature for over 200 years has inspired us to adopt its philosophy and maintain the best living habits from it and complement them with new views instead of replacing them. We are concerned with maintaining an open dialogue between the country, the local environment and its social fabric. Even in a good conversation, a dialogue runs in two directions and so we want to create a meeting place where people can find other ways and rediscover themselves. We realize that the basic idea of the term “business as usual” must change in order to live a happy life and give our world a fruitful future. And it is precisely this change that begins on a small scale and with new experiences. A large part of the energy demand on the farm is covered by its own photovoltaics and the water comes directly from a spring located on the farm. As an existing forestry with small animal husbandry, much is reused or recycled in everyday life. Either composted or used as mulch, up to our heating system, which is operated exclusively by wood waste from our own forest. The waste mentality is a good example of how to expand certain practices and create a stronger awareness of resources on the farm, but also for local manufacturers. So we try to purchase as many products as possible from surrounding producers to reduce packaging and transport. Other things to note HOUSE RULES We kindly ask you to refrain from smoking indoors and to note that we only allow weddings or larger celebrations on the property after personal consultation. Due to our biological wastewater treatment plant, we also ask you to use only biodegradable shower products to support the sensitive eco-system.
