Petalia Sanctuary 1887

Petalia Sanctuary, built in 1887, is located on the outskirts of Mount Pantokrator, at an altitude of 650 meters, in a traditional settlement in the village of Petaleia. In 2024 it was transformed into a sanctuary for travelers seeking the harmony and beauty of the Mountain. Based on the traditional architecture of the village with strong elements of stone and wood, it is decorated with attention to even the smallest detail. I built the place with a lot of care and attention, so as not to alter the traditional element. I am available for whatever you need. Guest access Arriving in the village, the visitor can park for free in the square and explore nature. Then, after walking a short distance in the narrow alleys, you will reach the accommodation which is located in a quiet neighborhood with old buildings, preserved and not. Access by public transport such as bus is difficult as there is only one bus a week. Ideally, you should have your own vehicle for your convenience and to discover the beauty of the island. The center of Corfu is 27 km away. Other things to note At 1km there are traditional taverns, as well as in the neighboring villages. There is no grocery store or convenience store within walking distance. At a distance of 11 km, in Acharavi, which is the center of the Municipality of North Corfu, the visitor can find anything they need. Ypsos beach is 15 km away. Barbati Beach is 11 km away.
