The self-contained primary suite includes a bedroom, office, and bathroom serviced by underfloor heating as well as split system heating/cooling. The king bed faces a handcrafted stained glass window, and a large closet and dresser enable you to settle in for trips of any length. The office is equipped with yoga gear, Australian literature, 3 work stations, and a monitor, keyboard and mouse. The loft, accessed via a spiral staircase in the main living area, contains four single beds in two rooms. It is a favourite with kids of all ages. On the ground level, the large open lounge serves as a central space to unwind and socialise. It features a bench seat under stained glass windows, comfy armchairs, bookshelves, dozens of board games for all ages, tv and speakers, record player, guitar, and a wood-burning fireplace. Complementing the fireplace is a split system air conditioner for full climate control in the heart of the home. Our contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals - plus a Nespresso machine to get your morning started. There's dining space for six in the sunroom, with custom-built tables affording each person a view of the rose trees and surrounding gardens. The large yard seen from the sunroom is fully fenced for your private use, perfect for lawn games, picnics, or stargazing to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Australis. We provide all linens, cookware and toiletries needed to get your stay underway as well as a range of indoor and outdoor activities for the family to enjoy. Located in the centre of Tasmania, Haven on High is an easy drive to statewide tourist destinations and serves as a fantastic hub for day trips in any direction. We are conveniently located next to the grocery store and within a 5-minute walk of all shops, eateries, parks, and historic landmarks in town. Guest access Guests have the entire cottage to themselves, as well as the large fenced-in yard and gardens. The driveway is shared with The Church at Haven on High.
