Quietly located in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes. In this beautiful and hilly landscape with its picturesque views, forests and nature reserves, you can hike and cycle to your heart's content. The recreational domain De Gavers is within walking distance and the most beautiful zoo in Europe, Pairi Daiza, is 30 minutes from the villa! We would love to pamper you with a seasonal heated outdoor pool and 2 private Jacuzzis with light therapy! The space The accommodation Our 500m² villa can accommodate up to 18 people, including children. We only rent to families and families with or without children. Also to groups with couples of a certain age, nature or cycling enthusiasts. Our home is wheelchair-friendly, the ground floor is completely barrier-free both inside and outside. There are several outdoor terraces with seating areas, sun loungers & lounges, surrounded by a beautiful large south-facing garden with heated outdoor pool, an outdoor shower and open views of the fields & the Raspaillebos. In the garden, there are 2 hammocks, a large built-in trampoline and a play tower. There is something for everyone! There is ample parking and 2 non-covered bicycle sheds (not covered due to no permit for urban planning). Our villa is a new building and is designed with an eye for detail and decoration in all simplicity. The white facade, the turquoise tones, the open view with beautiful terrace and outdoor pool, the large olive tree, etc. immediately give you a holiday feeling! Comfort is more than enough! There are 7 toilets, 2 duo Jacuzzis with light therapy, 2 showers and 2 duo baths. There is underfloor heating, ventilation systems for healthy indoor air, and internet with fast Wi-Fi connection everywhere. Each room has one or two large smart flat screen TVs so you can enjoy beautiful images & streaming. Because of possible allergies, no pets are allowed. It is also forbidden to smoke in the house. Of course, smoking is allowed on the various terraces, as well as on the two private terraces with garden of the guest rooms. Our home meets the latest and strictest standards in terms of fire safety. For example, in our house there are: various emergency exits, fire doors, 20 smoke detectors and optical detectors, 4 push buttons, 3 sirens and a smoke velux, all connected to a fire control panel directly connected to the fire department. All this with the smallest possible biological footprint, such as 20,000L of rainwater to which our taps in the garden, 7 toilets and 2 washing machines are connected. There are 4 more seats at the large cooking island. Also from the open kitchen, you have a beautiful view over the large garden with terrace, the outdoor pool, the forest and the fields. Central to the large cooking island is to socialize with family or friends in the living room, even while cooking. The family rooms each have a box spring and a bunk bed. 6 very spacious ensuite bathrooms with 2 lavabos each, bath linen, a toilet. 2 bathrooms with duo Jacuzzi & light therapy, 1 with walk-in shower, 2 with duo bath and 1 with double walk-in shower. Outdoors Time for relaxation! Our heated outdoor pool is 8m x 4m and 1.50m deep. The sun shines on the pool from morning to evening, so you can enjoy it all day long, a real holiday feeling! After a busy day of sightseeing, a brisk walk or a long bike ride, it's ideal to take a refreshing dip! But first, take a shower! Aside from the swimming pool, there is an outdoor solar shower with both cold and warm water when the sun is shining. The swimming pool is open all year round and you can swim. Depending on the weather, the swimming pool is heated from May to October. Around the pool there are sun loungers, beach chairs and parasols to unwind completely... While the parents enjoy the pool, the children can play on the play tower with playhouse, slide & 2 swings and a built-in trampoline of 4m40. Within walking distance of the De Gavers Recreation Area, where you can enjoy the beach and swim in the pond, "WoWpark" the largest inflatable water park in Belgium, pedal boat, kayak, surf bike, Canadian canoe, rowboat, surfing, the tropical indoor pool with sauna, mini golf, go-carts, bike rental, laser shoot, wall climbing and a terrace overlooking the lake... Ideally located just 5 minutes from the historic city center, the internationally famous Wall from the Tour of Flanders. and in the midst of typical Flemish villages where you can dine.
