Nestled on Tower Road, right on the Hauraki Rail Trail cycleway, our self-contained studio unit offers the perfect pit stop for travellers passing through the Waikato or Bay of Plenty regions. Our compact yet comfortable space features a queen-size bed, a bathroom, TV with Chromecast, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and food prep area. It's designed for adults who seek simplicity and convenience—a place to rest their heads for the night without the unnecessary frills. Complimentary continental breakfast ingredients are supplied in your room so you can eat when suits you. We supply cereals, bread, milk, butter and condiments. At our unit, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether you're passing through Matamata, here to explore Hobbiton, enjoy the horse races or a cyclist exploring the scenic cycle trails. We offer safe bike parking for cyclists, a bike wash station, and can make the laundry available on request, making it easy for you to explore the beautiful surroundings at your own pace. As a creative couple in our 40s, we understand the importance of privacy and flexibility. Whether you prefer to socialize or enjoy your own space, we're here to accommodate your needs. Plus, our two small dogs add a touch of warmth and companionship to your stay. Our goal is simple: to provide an affordable and welcoming space for our guests. And while our current studio unit offers all the essentials, we dream of expanding in the future to offer a small, separate self-contained cabin with even more amenities. Whether you're here for a quick stopover or a leisurely stay, we look forward to hosting you. Guest access The unit is next to the main house. You have your own entrance and parking is in our driveway or on the street. The view from the unit looks into the garden ✿ which is part of the main house which is shared by us (we do what we can to give you as much privacy as possible) There is a back garden which we call the 'cabbage patch' where we grow veges and there is a table and chairs for guests to enjoy in a more private setting. Other things to note We have 2 small fluffy dogs who may bark from time to time, but they are friendly and we keep them inside when guests arrive so you can settle in without them wanting pats from you. If you have any preferences around dogs please feel free to share that with us.
