Hawhuset is a charming older 2-storey townhouse from 1931, which was originally a vodka distillery. The house was renovated in 1981. The house consists of 2 separate holiday apartments. Here you have 170 m2, a private and cozy courtyard and a shared courtyard. The house has the best location in town with only 100 meters to the beach, harbor life and eateries and your neighbor is the town's shops. In the courtyard, you can hear the seagulls and the city life, which makes the stay authentic and lively. The spacious house has plenty of atmosphere and charm and the older style is well preserved. The courtyard is enclosed and cozy with fig trees, climbing hydrangeas and many other green plants. The covered terrace extends the evenings and the summer. Here, many barbecue evenings can be enjoyed. The house contains spacious bedrooms with new beds and with room for mattresses on the floor if you are more than 6 people. In the kitchen cabinets, there are also cozy recycled finds, just like in the rest of the house. There are 2 bicycles available. There's a big chest freezer. TV with Chromecast and Danish and German programs (NDR, ZDF, ARD) In June-August, the coziest summer pop-up opens in Hawhuset, with beautiful things made by local artisans. The shop has its own entrance and is located in a separate room 🫶 There is another smaller separate apartment in the building. In addition to the private courtyard, you share a common courtyard. We hope you will be considerate of each other. A little about the city: Thyborøn is one of Denmark's largest fishing ports. There are so many natural experiences - from the dolphins and seals that can be seen from the beach, to the wild North Sea and to the rich bird life on the meadow. On a walk at the harbor, you will meet the locals. All this makes your visit authentic and lively. The city is well visited all year round and has much to offer. To name a few: the most beautiful sunsets, dolphin/seal safari, Jyllandsakvariet, Sneglehuset, Sea War Museum, Surf Center, Wærket (which includes an annual pass that gives free access to Snegleland, water park and fitness center) harbor life, beach, sea, cozy eateries and fine shops with a wide range of clothing, shoes, applied arts and much more. 10 km. from Thyborøn, you will find the gaming and cultural venue 18B, which holds events and lovely concerts all year round. You will not regret a vacation in authentic Thyborøn and we are sure you will come again and again.
