Welcome to the newly furnished vacation apartment (04/24) “Hohner Seeblick”. The 75m² apartment on the second floor offers space for up to 4 people, max.3 adults and is located directly on the Hohner See nature reserve, from where you can go on beautiful hiking or cycling tours. The space So that you as our guests can feel comfortable, relax and unwind, the apartment has a new kitchen, a new bathroom and new furniture. The bedroom has a large double bed, bed linen is available for the bedrooms. The second bedroom has a single bed and a folding bed or cube mattress it has also an Children's travel cot and is furnished with lots of games for smaller children. In the living room there is a nice sofa bed to relax, dining area and satellite TV (including free access to Amazon Prime), there is also a fiber optic connection including LAN / WLAN. In the bathroom there is a shower and a new washing machine. Soap, toilet paper and towels are provided free of charge. The new, well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, stove, oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and all cooking utensils and dishes leaves nothing to be desired. As this is an allergy-friendly, non-smoking apartment, pets are not allowed. A parking lot is available directly at the accommodation. For further information or questions (e.g. bread roll service), please ask the landlord, who lives right next door. Guest access Enjoy the garden area with covered terrace and seating and barbecue to prepare a delicious BBQ, including a lockable garden shed, e.g. for bicycles. 2 bicycles are at your free disposal. Other things to note The municipality of Hohn, central town in the Hohner Harde district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, currently has around 2,600 inhabitants and is located 12km west of the town of Rendsburg, right in the heart of beautiful Schleswig-Holstein. Thanks to its central location, you can reach the North Sea beaches in Büsum (50 km), Sankt Peter-Ording (75 km) or the Baltic Sea beach in Eckernförde (30 km) in a reasonable amount of time. The cities of Kiel (approx. 40 min.), Flensburg (approx. 45 min.) or Hamburg (approx. 60 min.) can be reached just as quickly via the highways (A210 and A7). Another good option is to use public transportation to the train station in Rendsburg, from where trains take you in all directions. We can also recommend cycling tours around the Hohner See nature reserve, along the Kiel Canal (12km), the rivers Eider (4km), Treene (22km) or Sorge (6km) or the Hütti-trail in the Hüttener Bergen (21km), which is not only intended for bikers, but is just as beautiful for hiking. Museum lovers will not miss out here either, e.g. the Viking Museum in Haithabu(25km), the open-air museum in Molfsee(64km), the Iron Art Casting Museum in Büdelsdorf(11km), the museums in the cultural center in Rendsburg(13km), the Jewish Museum in Rd(12km) or the Electrical Museum in Rd(12km). Probably the biggest attraction in the country is definitely worth seeing: since 2018, a former military transport aircraft, the Transall C-160, has been standing in the middle of the town, which has been flying in and around Hohn since 1968. ogether with the Hohn village museum, you can marvel at these from May to October, on the first Sunday of each month from 2:00-5:00 pm, or you can ask the landlord, perhaps something can be arranged. The otter enclosure, including feeding of the otters, is open daily from 16:00. Whether you like fishing, in the rivers Eider, Treene, Sorge or the Kiel Canal, in the Gettorf Zoo, a game of golf at the GC Lohersand or in the high ropes course in Eckernförde, also recommended is a trip to Friedrichsstadt with a canal tour, the Stone Age Park in Albersdorf, and of course the Hansa Park in Sierksdorf and for the smaller visitors we recommend the amusement park Tolk-Schau If you fancy a coffee, it's worth visiting the café at Rosenhof, which also offers home-baked cakes. In addition to supermarkets and bakeries, you will also find a pharmacy, general practitioner, veterinary practice, dentist, savings bank and a post office. There is also a petrol station and two snack bars. In Hohn there is a primary and community school, a kindergarten, sports halls, tennis courts and a sports field. Further excursion possibilities are the landmark of Rendsburg, the railroad bridge with one of the last remaining floating ferries over the Kiel Canal, take a look at the “big pots” over a drink and let the ship welcome system tell you more about the respective ships.he special events, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival from July to August, the Kiel Week in June, the SH Net Cup in September with the best rowers in the world, the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg from June to September or the world's largest metal festival in the village of Wacken 56 km away on the first weekend in August, the international art exhibition “NordArt”s celebrating its 25th anniversary in Büdelsdorf this year.
