Hello and welcome to Eden! We are a French-speaking couple, 40 & 50 years old, married, having recently swapped our Tourangelle countryside for the lush Indonesian vegetation. NB: We have chosen discreet constructions in harmony with the surrounding nature. The land is therefore not fenced. As a result, village dogs can sometimes cross your space. This remains rare, they are perfectly harmless and even rather friendly... Nevertheless, they remain "at home" in the hill... OUR COMMITMENTS: Water: Rainwater is collected in huge tanks through the gutters to the left of your villas. This water is used systematically in all the toilets of the establishment. It can also, if you accept, supply the shower water. Please note that shower water, whether "rain" or "mains", is then redirected to other tanks, where it is filtered again in order to be reused for park maintenance. Energy: We only use LED bulbs, some of which are solar, and low-energy electrical appliances, resulting in an overall energy saving of 80%. Trash: Glass containers and aluminum cans are recycled. Organic waste is composted. Plastics: We are committed to minimizing our use of single-use plastics. Thus, we provide you with free drinking water fountains and reusable bottles. Furniture: Use of local materials (teak wood) or reclaimed materials (driftwood). Made by us or by a talented carpenter located on Penida. Hygiene: Of course, we provide you with toilet paper. However, we strongly encourage the use of the showerhead to limit unnecessary waste from flowing into wastewater and thus polluting the oceans. Additionally, all our hygiene products are purchased in bulk. Linen maintenance: We offer a daily linen change. But you are aware that water is precious and is becoming a rare commodity... Therefore, and in order to reduce our climate impact, you can choose to keep it for the duration of your short stay. For a romantic moment, away from it all, in perfect harmony with the environment, choose Eden.
