Group and seminar house "Shift in the shaft"

The vacation home "Schicht im Schacht" in the Upper Harz can accommodate up to 30 people and is ideal for groups and families as self-catering accommodation. It is located on the historic market square of Elbingerode, a climatic health resort in the Upper Harz Mountains on the Brocken. Built in 1914, the house combines historical and natural elements with hand-fired bricks and brushed beams. Excellent insulation, triple glazed windows and underfloor heating ensure comfort. Guest access The "Schicht im Schacht" has its own courtyard with parking spaces for approx. 10 vehicles. An e-charging station is also available – please contact us for more information. Before your arrival, you will receive an individual door code that will be valid throughout your stay. Other things to note Linens & towels: Bed covers and shower towels can be brought by yourself or rented from us for €12 per set. City Taxes The visitor's tax in the Upper Harz on the Brocken is € 2.50 per person per night for all guests aged 16 and over and is payable on arrival. Companies whose employees stay with us professionally are exempt from the visitor's tax and are asked to fill out a corresponding form.
