Nestled in the rural, unspoiled village of Voutes, the villa is just a 15-minute drive from stunning beaches like Lygaria, Paleokastro, and Ammoudara. Heraklion, offering great restaurants and sights, is also conveniently close by. The house is surrounded by its own orchard of 100 fruit trees and vines, providing fresh, seasonal fruit (oranges in winter; plums, peaches, and grapes in summer) and eggs from the chickens. Enjoy leisurely walks around the property with stunning hillside views. Across the valley lies the charming village of Stavrakia, where the church bells ring on Sundays. Our villa features 3 bedrooms, a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, 2 balconies, and 2 bathrooms. It is equipped with air conditioning. Additionally, there's a separate apartment in the basement where the house caretakers live, ready to assist during your stay. Given its rural setting, we recommend renting a car to explore the area; grocery shopping is just a short detour on your way to the beach. With a car, you can also venture further, perhaps to the Roman caves along Crete’s scenic south coast. Within a 15-20 minute drive, discover historical treasures like the Palace of Knossos and the Natural History Museum, or visit the Cretaquarium just 30 minutes away. The villa offers easy access to major highways leading to Chania, Rethymno, Agios Nikolaos, Ierapetra, and Matala. The University General Hospital of Heraklion is a mere 5 km away. The airport and port are conveniently situated 20 km and 15 km away, respectively. The villa’s serene environment makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. In Voutes village, you'll find local amenities including a bakery, mini-market, pastry shop, café, and traditional coffee shop. Direct flights operate from many European cities between April and November; during winter, connections via Athens are available.
