Drumheller Wolf Retreat is in the badlands of Alberta- the dinosaur capital of the World. It is an animal lover’s paradise on a secluded, scenic homestead with farmhouse, barn and shop by a coulee with cows and bison. Hear mates Timber the Wolf and Summer the Wolfdog howl in their safe habitat around the house, play with dog Panda in the yard, relax with cats Rocky and Farley inside, and see deer, coyotes, and wildlife nearby. Ideal for tourists, writers, artists, photographers, filmmakers... The space The farmhouse was built in the 1940’s and its interior was upgraded in 2020 with new amenities and painted with a natural ambience. The wolf habitat and dens are located right outside the front room window and next to the patio which has lounge seating, tables, and a Bar BQ. This private property has gated access, RV parking, Wifi, treadmill, weights, and workout area. Half the second floor was removed to vault the front room and create a loft office. The kitchen has modern appliances. The bathroom has new plumbing, fixtures, and oversize tub with shower. Accommodations for up to 10 people, including: 1. The Den Suite (2) has a queen futon bed, desk, microwave, and fridge with separate entrance; 2. The Cowboy Room (2) has a queen sports orthopedic bed with period décor; 3. The Wildlife Gallery (2) has a La-Z-Boy Air Sofabed with comfortable furnishings, TV, and art collection; and 4. The Cabin Trailer (4) has a queen futon and a double futon in a vintage Klassic Koach with electricity, partial kitchen (microwave, kettle and coolers) and half bathroom (full kitchen and bathroom available in Retreat House). Guest access Your host is on premises to assist with house and animals... Please note: Advise us minimum one hour prior to arrival and note that 9pm is the latest time to check in. Guests are expected to be polite, clean up after themselves and leave things in order. No meals provided but have tea, coffee, and access to kitchen to cook your own meals. For extra fees guests may: Book a 'Wolf Experience' on Airbnb or on upon arrival, that includes an educational presentation, photo opportunities and howling with the wolves. Host group gatherings with tables, catering and entertainment in shop, barn and at firepit. We may also provide entertainment such as hosts, musicians, actors, and magicians. Purchase merchandise when available such as T-shirts, caps, artwork, photography and more… During your stay Your host is on premises and may assist with house and animals on request. For fees: Guests may have educational experiences and photography opportunities with wolves. Group gatherings with tables and catering may be held in shop, barn and around firepit. No meals provided but tea and coffee and access to kitchen to cook your own meals. Guest pets are not allowed but may be boarded at the neighbor’s kennel Jurassic Bark. Resident pets are not allowed in bedrooms to minimize hair for guests with allergies. Other things to note No pets allowed but can board at our neighbors Jurassic Bark, a reputable kennel facility. Viewing our wolves from outside enclosure is permissible but any interactions involving introductions, howling or photography are strictly supervised and are separately paid for as an Air bnb ‘Experience’. Interacting freely with our dog and cats is fine if it is humane, gentle and with the spirit of love. Please close all doors and gates as soon as they are used to keep animals safely enclosed. Guests may be able to volunteer to assist in animal care, rescue, and conservation projects. Guests assume their own liability for involvement with animals and projects.
