Welcome to Thousand Owls Estate - your own private resort oasis in Ottawa! This home sits on a private 10-acre property and features a heated indoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a solarium, a movie theatre room, and three separate games rooms featuring ping-pong, air hockey, shuffleboard, a pool table, a poker table, a dart board, video games, board games and much more. The estate is the perfect spot to get away with family and friends and can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 17 guests. Below is some information regarding our rates and availability: - Summer: During the summer, we only accept weekly bookings (6-nights) from Friday to Thursday - Special holidays (Christmas, New Year's and March Break) are also a minimum 6-night booking. - During other times of the year, we accept minimum 3-night bookings on weekends and 2-night bookings mid-week. Located in the charming township of Cumberland, Ontario (less than half an hour east of downtown Ottawa), this breathtaking property has everything you could possibly imagine and is the perfect spot for your next family vacation. The central area of the home (the rotunda) offers panoramic views of the property through its numerous windows and features a comfortable living room with plenty of seating and a 70" television, as well as a formal dining room and a spacious eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need including high-end appliances (fridge, oven, cook-top stove, dishwasher and microwave), as well as a large array of cooking utensils, dishes, small appliances and much more. Follow the staircase up to the loft area of the rotunda where you will find a board game area and a cozy reading nook. And off the kitchen is a large, fully enclosed 3-season solarium with another lounge seating area, a dining area, hammocks, and the 8-person Jacuzzi hot tub. A separate wing leading from the rotunda is where you will find the six (6) comfortable bedrooms, along with five (5) bathrooms. There are two spacious master bedroom suites, each featuring a king-size bed, a reading nook and a full ensuite bathroom. There are two good size secondary bedrooms, each with its own king-size bed and a reading nook and these two bedrooms also share a 2-piece ensuite bathroom. At the end of the hall you will find the bunk room, which is the perfect hangout spot for kids! The large room consists of two sets of bunk beds (single over double) and a couch/TV area. A smaller bedroom can be accessed through the bunk room and is equipped with another single-over-double bunk bed, allowing for some separation of the kids while still having them all sharing the same space. This wing of the house is completed with two additional full bathrooms. The lower level of the home features a large movie theatre room with a projector screen and a relaxation area with hammocks. There are also three separate games rooms complete with pool table, air hockey table, shuffleboard table, a poker table, arcade games, a ping pong table, a dart board, and other games. This level also features a private sauna room (with seating for 6+ people in the sauna) and a laundry area. And of course the highlight of the home is the beautifully designed pool room. The 16 x 34 foot indoor, heated swimming pool (which can be used all year round) is incredible and the room offers plenty of seating for those who simply want to enjoy this room without swimming. This home truly has something to please everyone! And if you are not wowed by all of the amenities that can be found inside this stunning home, the exterior of the property is spectacular as well. The house sits on 10-acres of land, which have been beautifully landscaped to include 7 different outdoor seating stations, a volleyball/badminton court, a trampoline, hammocks, fire pits and a BBQ. In addition to the 10-acres of land on which the property sits, it also backs onto the Beckwith bird sanctuary offering even more privacy and tranquility for our guests to enjoy, whether you want to find a quiet spot to read a book, host a large outdoor gathering or simply wander some of the trails that have been groomed along the property. In accordance with the City of Ottawa's Short-Term Rental By-law, the maximum limit for overnight guests in a short-term rental shall be two (2) persons per sleeping room, up to a total of ten (10) overnight guests maximum.
