Vasalemma Hideaway – Slow Living Close to Tallinn!

Mission is to renovate the historic 1849 built "Vasalemma barn" to a sustainable, off-grid hotel. There is an eco-toilet and outdoor shower here! Neighbour is a picturesque castle & manor garden: ideal for “slow” vacation. Tranquil countryside haven: Vasalemma river flows through park and in 2 km you’ll find an old limestone mine to take a refreshing dip in its crystalline waters. Strolls through the mansion park, nature, starry August nights, undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of city life. The space There is one big hall when entering the house, which has a big fireplace as centrepiece. Living room has a seating area and there is simple earthy kitchenette, to use for cooking. Bedroom is on the same floor and has one double bed and possible to add 2x single beds. Only outdoor shower is available at the moment and eco-compost toilet outside. This is a project of renovation and goal is to open the building one day in its full amount: there are 600m2 of space to restore! Our aim is to show life in the countryside, rustic, off-grid, sustainable and re-use is for us a must in everything we do. Please come with open mind, love for history and dedication to 170 year old buildings. It gives something so valuable in return, please tell us, if you feel it! Warm-warm welcome! Vasalemma Marble House team Guest access You can use the big living room with bedroom and kitchen area. Living room and kitchen area may be shared, it depends, how many guests are staying. When possible, we offer the stay for one family at a time (of friends, that come in a bunch!). Ask us for details, when you have a wish to accommodate more guests. Warm welcome! We do not live on site, but visit it when needed and asked. You will be guided and helped, as far as necessary and depending on your wish as well!
