After years of searching, we purchased this unit for the active location & authentic vibe of the area.  A true penthouse; 1 of 4 in our 12 unit building with a private rooftop space for soaking in the sun, grilling with a cold margarita & enjoying our view of paradise. We are in the heart of Playa and it’s so much fun! The space Our tastefully decorated 2 bedroom, 2 full bath home features a split layout, with bedrooms on opposite sides of the unit, making it private enough for two couples looking to share a relaxing vacation and maintaining privacy (or to get some space from the kids!).  This unit sleeps 6 persons comfortably and is suitable for families, friends and small groups.  The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, en-suite bath with tub and a private balcony overlooking ‪10th Street‬.  The second bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, private full bath with marble shower.  The great room includes a seating area with large flat screen TV, couch/sleeper sofa/ bed, dining table and full kitchen.  The kitchen has a full fridge, range, toaster oven and fresh water.    Our favorite feature is our PRIVATE ROOFTOP OASIS with PALM TREES! This is entirely yours to enjoy, with a separate staircase from our unit to the rooftop! Enjoy the sunshine or glass of wine under the stunning skies and evening stars!  Our penthouse deck has an incredible view, a soaking pool, lounge chairs, palm trees and an outdoor rooftop grilling station, sink and dining area. There is also a nice shared full size pool in the common area for guests to enjoy as well.   Unlike many new construction condos on the north end of town, our unit is located on the south end of Playa, just steps from the action on 5th Avenue and three blocks from the beach.  Our place is above a great juice bar and across the street from Yoga Loft (the best yoga studio in Playa).  We love the proximity to the action on 5th Avenue, the beach & the incredible feeling of being in the action at home!  If you’ve never been to Playa, this is the epicenter of the Riviera Maya on the beautiful Carribean.  Playa is known for fresh local dining, dancing, live music, amazing shopping, the night market, local art, street food, diving (our condo is two blocks from Playa’s “Dive Shop Alley”) and some of the best beaches in Mexico.  You can experience world-famous “cenotes” (underwater caves) just minutes from town or take a day trip to Tulum, the home of Chichen Itza, one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World (and of course the world’s best thumping EDM beach clubs).  Playa is safe and fun.  A great place for a romantic getaway.If you’d like to arrange a personal chef, fishing guide, dive tour, sacred site tours, we can connect you to the best!   Additional useful information:   * In order to keep our prices low, we implement a 20kw daily electricity allowance. Most guests don’t use their daily allowance. You should only experience an “use overage” if you spend all day inside with the AC running or leave the AC running while you’re out and about.  We do this because electricity is expensive in Playa, and more importantly, to be mindful of our environmental impact. Regular usage is not an issue.  “Use overages” may result in additional charges of $5-$10 USD a day. Please don’t run the AC when you’re not at home. It is very effective at cooling the unit quickly. *Please let me know if there’s anything you need to make your trip fabulous!   * Our unit is an easy 45-minute ride from Cancun International Airport (CUN).  Transportation can be arranged if you request ahead of time.  If not, cabs await you just outside the airport doors and will cost about $50 USD.  Ask for details.   * Close proximity to major attractions.  Tulum is a beautiful and easy day trip. For guests looking for adventure, rent a car (on the same block as our condo) and head down to Belize (a short few hour’s drive)   * Secure building with cameras; secure underground parking (rare in Playa); elevator access. And a friendly door man in the evening.   * Internet and cable   * Washer/dryer in unit   * Main pool in courtyard for condo guests We’ve recently taken ownership and look forward to providing our guests eco-friendly products and solar power in the near future!
