Underhill Cottage

90 minutes from Cape Town, nestled between mountain ranges, on the banks of the river, this is a perfect retreat from big city life. Entirely off-grid, this peaceful cottage has two double bedrooms with a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area and one bathroom comprising a large shower, toilet and basin. An expansive stoep overlooking the river with BBQ facilities. Enjoy river activities, fishing,mountain hikes, bird watching, star gazing and a cosy indoor fire on cold evenings. The space Two bedrooms with Queen sizes beds (one extra length). In addition, we have two single fold out mattresses, suitable for children, available WITHOUT BEDDING. Guests will need to supply their own. There are two kayaks available for use on the river. Please return to the house after use. Fishing is welcome but you’ll need to bring your own fishing rods. There are a number of hiking trails and mountain biking routes in the immediate vicinity as well as many wine farms, eateries and farm stalls to explore in the area. Other things to note The cottage is on a working farm so please be aware of the sounds that come hand in hand with that, particularly during harvest season.
