On the first floor of a completely renovated early 19th-century building, this unique home integrates clean, rigorous and minimalist style with the charm and atmosphere of Salento architecture. The space The apartment was completely renovated with completion of the work in June 2024. Everything is new, not only the furnishings but also the systems and its amenities. The home is located on the first floor of a late nineteenth-century building that was also restored while preserving its original architecture. It is reached from the street level through a first door that leads to the staircase that leads to the front door of the house. The opening of two arches in the existing walls allowed the two original rooms to be merged in a single "open space" with the typical vaulted floors. Entrance, living area, dining/kitchen area and bathroom are located on a single level, while the sleeping area is a mezzanine. A covered stairwell allows access to the terrace and its furnishings, while a large opening door hides the methane boiler for the production of domestic hot water and the laundry area with washing machine, battery-powered vacuum cleaner and cleaning tools. The air conditioning is entrusted to an Aermec 12,000 btu inverter air conditioner with an air ionization system. For the colder periods of the year there is also the heating system with steel design heaters powered by the condensing type methane boiler. Finally, there is also a remote controlled Dreo Nomad One tower fan. The apartment is equipped with open curtain mosquito nets, installed on all external fixtures, the latter in wood with certification for thermal cutting and high level of soundproofing. In the dining area there is the iconic tulip table paired with 4 chairs, a niche in the masonry houses "the coffee corner" with Nespresso Inissia capsule machine, capsule holder and special container for the recycling of the latter. In the living area there is a comfortable sofa, low tables and a media wall that houses a 50"Samsung Smart TV with its soundbar to enjoy the entertainment in dolby surround and dolby atmospheric of your favorite programs. The kitchen is equipped with a countertop refrigerator, single tank sink, 2-burner induction cooktop, traditional combination oven and microwave, integrated suction hood in the cabinet. Booking the apartment is not allowed if you are traveling with animals. Violation of the prohibitions entails the possibility of expelling the guest from the residence, without the right to reimbursement of the entire booked stay, as well as the charge of the sanitation costs and any compensation for damage caused to the rooms, furnishings or textiles. Due to the architectural peculiarities of the accommodation (presence of stairs and mezzanine), guests with children must always agree in advance with the host the possibility of booking the apartment. Other things to note The apartment is located close to the historic center of Martano, a few steps from the city's main points of interest, in a quiet area and well served by bars, pharmacies, supermarkets, banks, post office, all within walking distance, in addition to the many restaurants where you can taste, even outdoors, the best dishes of typical Salento cuisine, at much lower costs than the seaside resorts. Martano is the town of reference of what is called "Grecìa Salentina", capital of a geographical area in the center of the peninsula rich in tradition, culture and history. Its central location also makes Martano a favorite destination for getting around. In fact, it is a few kilometers from the wonderful cliffs of Roca, San Foca and Sant'Andrea or from the white beaches of Torre dell'Orso, Frassanito, Laghi Alimini, Baia dei Turchi and Otranto, all easily reachable by fast provincial roads, by car or public transport. But there are also a few kilometers that separate it from Lecce, the capital of the province and the most refined Baroque, or from the many wonderful historic centers of the neighboring villages, such as Galatina, Soleto, Corigliano d'Otranto, Sternatìa, Nardò, Galatone.
