Each guest will have access to a private bedroom with a door. Guest access The kitchen, living room, bathroom, and toilet are shared spaces. They will be shared with other guests or the host. Other things to note Our accommodation is not a “whole house rental” style, but rather a traditional guesthouse where the host stays in the same building. You may be sharing the space with other guests as well, but we aim to create a relaxing atmosphere—like coming back to your countryside home. One of the charms of staying here is the scenery that changes with the seasons. From summer to autumn, you may get to see the process of drying “gagome kombu” and “ma-kombu” (kelp). You might even spot kelp being dried near the guesthouse. Recommended Spots • Beach: Just a 2–3 minute walk away, the beautiful beach is a perfect spot for ocean lovers. • Ishizaki Jinushikaijin Shrine: About 4 minutes by car or 35 minutes on foot. A wonderful place for a walk while feeling the ocean breeze. In spring, cherry blossoms are another highlight. The timing varies each year, but they are usually in full bloom from late April to early May. Access • Many guests arrive by car, rental car, or motorcycle. • If you’re coming by bus: from Hakodate Station, take a bus to Yachimachi bus stop (approx. 1 hour, 700 yen). From the bus stop, it’s about a 5–6 minute walk to the guesthouse. • If driving, you can reach us in under 30 minutes from Hakodate Station by taking the scenic coastal road.
