Enjoy a comfortable stay in a pleasant space created with love and care by the owners of RIZES. It is located in the traditional village of Zaros, at the foot of the legendary Psiloritis. The village of Zaros is 45 kilometers from the center of Heraklion and 30 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the South. The particularly elegant space is an ideal refuge for those seeking peace, designed to cover every aspect of your holiday comfort, giving you moments of relaxation. The space The fully equipped accommodation features: ✔1 master bedroom with double bed ✔1 bedroom with 2 single beds in an elevated area with an internal staircase ✔1 bedroom with 2 single beds and a private bathroom All beds have eco-friendly anatomic mattresses that offer a restful sleep and all bedrooms have air conditioning. The 2 bathrooms are equipped with all necessary sanitary ware. It also has a fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven and ceramic stovetop, microwave, air fryer, kettle, toaster, coffee maker. The water comes from the natural springs of Zaros, it is potable and suitable for domestic use. Washing machine, iron and clothesline are available. For your entertainment there is a 40" TV in two bedrooms and a 50" TV in the living room. Safety sockets are available throughout the house, as well as a fire blanket, fire extinguisher, smoke detector and first aid kit. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and its amenities, including all bedrooms, the living room, a fully equipped kitchen and the private backyard with lemon trees. Other things to note Below you will find some important information about the village of Zaros and everything it can offer you: - Access to the village of Zaros can be made in the following ways: Zaros is located about 45 km south of Heraklion and there are several options to get to the village, depending on your preferences: 🚗 By car (recommended) The easiest and most flexible way to get to Zaros is by car. • It takes about 45 minutes from Heraklion via a scenic route. • If you rent a car, you will have the freedom to explore nearby attractions such as Rouvas Gorge or Lake Votomo. 🚌 By bus (KTEL) • There are usually 1-2 buses a day from Heraklion to Zaros, sometimes with a transfer in Moires. • The total travel time is about 1 hour and 30 minutes. • You can check the schedule on the official KTEL website or ask me and I will be happy to help you. 🚕 By taxi or private transport • A taxi from Heraklion takes about 45 minutes. • The cost is usually €50-60 depending on the time of day and the number of passengers. • Private transfers from the airport are also available, which can be arranged in advance. 💡 Tip: If you arrive at Heraklion airport, I suggest you either rent a car directly at the airport or book a private transfer for a smooth and easy trip to Zaros. - In the village you will find all the basic amenities within a few minutes. Here are some of the top things you can do during your stay: • Hiking in Rouvas Gorge One of the most picturesque hiking routes in Crete, leading through lush forests and impressive landscapes.
