Come and discover the Vosges and Alsace in a quiet cottage located in the heart of the Ballon des Vosges Regional Park, in a green setting. Ideal for exploring the area while enjoying a cozy place to stay that offers the comforts of a modern home in a rural village. Hiking trails start from the cottage. Nearby tourist, cultural and natural attractions. Bakeries and convenience stores in Ban-de-Laveline and Fraize (10 minutes) or in Saint-Dié (20 minutes). The space The property is accessed by outdoor stairs with a separate entrance. It consists of a living room with a dining area open to a kitchenette equipped with a stovetop, oven, microwave, kettle and a coffee machine (Nespresso). Utensils, dishes and basic condiments are at your disposal. A master bedroom is attached to the living room. It is equipped with a 160*200 bed and a large dresser. A clearance allows you to access the shower room and the second bedroom. This second bedroom can be converted into two single beds (80*200) or a double bed (160*200) as long as we request it in advance (minimum 2 days before arrival). By default, the second bedroom is set up into 2 single beds. The two bedrooms are connected via a door that you can lock or not according to your needs. The accommodation has a separate toilet (access via the living room). For added comfort, we have equipped the accommodation with a dishwasher (which you are required to empty before your departure) and a washing machine (the products to be used are provided for your reservation). A private parking spot is reserved for you next to your entrance. Wifi is included in the rental. The TV is equipped with a TNT decoder allowing you to watch free channels as well as a chromecast to allow you to use your subscriptions to different platforms. You will have the opportunity to "caster" (=share) your screen on the TV using the chromecast technology available to you under the name "fox des Vosges". You'll find all the information you need in the on-site welcome guide. Please note! The garden is not fenced. The garden is shared by various domestic and wild animals (deer, squirrels, foxes, wild boar, etc.). Please do not leave anything lying around in the garden and do not feed the various animals you may see. Guest access To get to 15 Chemin des Mines, we recommend taking Chemin des Grandes Gouttes at La Croix aux Mines (on your left) if you are passing through the town of Ban-de-Laveline. If you are coming from Fraize, you can turn directly onto Chemin des Mines, which will be on your right from Rue d'Alsace. The house will be on the side, in a cul-de-sac. It's red with a wooden deck. You need to walk along the house to park next to the tiled staircase at the end. Your entrance is at the top of this staircase. A lockbox is to the left of your front door. Other things to note In the Vosges, restaurants are closed on Sundays outside of fast food. Many of them are also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Remember to call to check that they are open and book to avoid unpleasant surprises. For your shopping, you can find supermarkets in the following municipalities: Saint-Dié, Fraize, Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. A convenience store is open in Ban de Laveline at specific times, check schedules on google. As well as a second one in Raves. Bakeries: Ban de Laveline, Fraize, Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, Saint-Dié. If you arrive on a Sunday, plan your meals, as the shops are not open (except for supermarkets, which are only open on Sunday mornings in Saint-Dié). Numerous events take place throughout the year within a fairly wide area. Christmas markets start from the last weekend of November until the one before Christmas (knowing that some last until January). The area is suitable for walks and hikes in nature, with more and more outdoor activities that are emerging. The cottage is located 1 hour from Nancy, 30 minutes from Baccarat, 30 minutes from Gerardmer, 50 minutes from Colmar, 45 minutes from La Bresse, 50 minutes from Vagney, 40 minutes from Munster, 1h20 from Mulhouse, 1h10 from Strasbourg, 20 minutes from Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, 20 minutes from Saint-Dié. Ideal for shining on Lorraine, the Vosges and Alsace, it will allow you to reach many destinations for a more diverse stay. Hikes are also possible directly from the cottage or in the nearby towns.
