The Garden House at Taino’ti- an idyllic retreat

Once you've reached the Garden House at Taino’ti you won’t want to leave. It casts its magic on all who stay there. No-one to interrupt your peace or privacy, just birds, iguanas, the odd land tortoise. There are lots of spaces to explore in and around the house- open plan sitting areas, spacious terraces for dining, huge pool with integrated plunge pool, a yoga deck. Lush gardens to wander in, hikes through the forest to High North and the beach at Anse la Roche for barefoot lobster lunches. The space The house has a feel of a large chalet- enough room on three floors for families and friends to feel close enough for a get together but with enough quiet corners to have space to yourself. There are four double bedrooms and 4 sleeping ‘pods’ under the eaves which allow for extra sleeping accommodation- all with AC. Three of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. The mature gardens filled with tropical species surround the house- bringing hummingbirds right to your door and limes and mangoes in season fresh from the tree. Beyond the Estate you are enveloped by the forests of High North with open views towards the Caribbean Sea. The 20 minute hike down through the forest to Anse la Roche beach is a must! It is a tropical haven, where land tortoises mix with iguanas and hermit crabs along the route…. Guest access The upper gardens on the Estate as well as those immediately surrounding the house are fully available to guests. Wheelchair access is possible to all internal spaces except the top floor. The bedrooms on the main floor and lower garden level and terrace as well as the swimming pool and surrounding decks, covered dining terrace and gardens are all step free. The house, terraces and gardens were designed especially to flow into one another on these two levels. Other things to note There are four double bedrooms (3 ensuite) , 3 with four- poster beds . The largest of these is set up for a family with a separate space with two single and a double mattress under the eaves for children/ teenagers to share if needed. The other two first floor ‘pod’ bedrooms are under the eaves (limited headroom) with double mattresses on the floor, ideal for the older teenager who needs privacy. All bedrooms have AC and the three larger bedrooms have ceiling fans in addition. Sleeping up to 10 guests comfortably.
