If you thinking of coming to visit the West Coast my advice is to stay 2 or 3 nights in Queenstown which is the centre of the areas 5 towns. Queenstown is very affordable and staying in one place saves on multiple cleaning fees. Below there is a full list of ammenities in the town of Queenstown. Other towns do not have these same ammenities but offer a variety of unique must see attractions which are all less than an hour away. We do accept guests for a single night stay as well. The space Fully renovated old miners cottage that has been transformed into a modern open planned space. Food items are provided free of charge and include items to make basic meals. The full kitchen can be used to make meals for the entire family. Coffee machine and pods proved. THE HOUSE IS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AFTER EACH GUEST INCLUDING ALL LINEN AND TOWELS ETC. Two lovely bedrooms one with a large wooden queen bed and TV. The second bedroom contains two King singles that can also be joined. Beautiful new spacious bathroom containing a large 1200 mm shower and a HUGE bath with continuous gas hot water. A front load washing machine for you use including liquid. Also a dryer which is just outside the back door. Go exploring out the back door and take the path to various seating areas. Go further up the back and discover the hidden path that is surrounded by large ferns. The backyard also contains many different types of birds and wildlife. The front has a large deck with scenic mountain views and watch the Wilderness Railway pass by each day. Plenty of off street parking. Guest access Full exclusive use of the entire property. Access via key safe located at the front door. Security lights automatically come on to assist with night time arrival. Other things to note Information centre (in Galley museum) Scenic Railway Mountain bike trails and shuttle service Various hotels Hospital Medical centre Vinnie’s opp shop Two supermarkets and a corner store Modern library Art galleries Art murals around town Antique shops Petrol station x 2 Police station Post office Laundrette Chemist Cafes x3 Pizza shop Chinese restaurants x 2 Mountain bike shop Car garage for repairs etc Courthouse Wine bar “Moonscape “ RSL Queenstown Club bar (visitors very welcome) Lookout next to town centre Various mining monuments Council offices Hairdresser Gymnasium with squash court Park with outdoor BBQ Public toilets Golf course Radio station 7XS Aerodrome Hardware store Paragon Theatre has many uses Vet Museums Various shops We don’t have shopping malls and expensive restaurants and freeways, but we do offer wonderful experiences, history and most of all the most beautiful scenery equal to any other. Tasmania contains 3,000 named mountains and is the most mountainous island in the world. People that visit here leave with a totally different perspective than what they possibly were anticipating. The view from Orr Street (the main street) is one that captures you as soon as you look up the street towards Mt Owen. Registration Details DA2023/76
