The Bridge - between New Zealand & the Ore Mountains. A unique holiday home that brings New Zealand and the Ore Mountains together. Welcome to your first step in discovering New Zealand in the Ore Mountains. As a long-time New Zealand expert, I discovered the parallels between my home, the Ore Mountains and Aotearoa / New Zealand. We would like to introduce you to the extraordinary and mystical region around the Ore Mountains. The space The luxury apartment has a size of 72 square meters. It offers 1 bedroom, 1 reading room with sleeping option (bed 1.40 m wide), 1 living room, 1 open kitchen and 1 modern shower room. A spacious balcony is also available. In the living room there is 1 dining table for 4 people, 1 HD smart TV (55 inches) with pre-installed apps from Netflix, Amazon and Disney (can be used with your own access data) and 1 Marshall music box. An electric fireplace provides coziness. The kitchen is fully equipped. In addition to the oven and dishwasher, there is 1 kettle, 1 toaster, 1 microwave and 1 Senseo pad coffee maker (8 pads per stay are provided). A minibar is provided in the wine barrel. Each wine is available for €10.00 and each chips as well as soft drinks and beer for €3.00. Please pay the amount in cash independently into the small treasure chest of trust. The theme of the apartment is a bridge of small parallels, which I was able to discover between the Ore Mountains and New Zealand. Thus, for all Lord of the Rings and Hobbit fans (quintessential for New Zealand), the heart will beat a little faster when you find yourself in the reading room in the rocking chair or in the "reading meadow" with a book by J.R.R. Tolkien. (Books and games can of course be used inside the apartment). Various small accessories, some brought directly from New Zealand, make the apartment very special. Nevertheless, we attach great importance to the connection to the Ore Mountains, the Erzgebirge. Immerse yourself in the mystical region, which has not changed for decades on the ridge of the mountains and especially on the nearby Czech side and has thus still retained its original and wild nature. About the location/activities: Whether in winter with skis, in summer by bike, e-bike or for hiking, discovering this region is something extraordinary. And the story (see the book “Irrlichter” in the reading room) captivates you even more. Relax in one of the most beautiful and largest sauna areas in Europe (just a few minutes by by car), benefit in winter from the direct access to the Kammloipe, enjoy the tranquility at the highest drinking water reservoir in Germany, or the "Fjords of the Ore Mountains" (Eibenstock reservoir). Experience alpine skiing at the family-friendly lifts in Carlsfeld, Eibenstock and Johanngeorgenstadt (just a few minutes by car) or make day trips to Fichtelberg, Keilberg or Oberwiesenthal, the highest town in Germany. Hidden lost places or guided tours through mines, the German space travel exhibition in the birthplace (neighboring village) of Sigmund Jähn, a brand new adventure pool, downhill tracks for bikers and much more.
