Mira Olas Jungle Deluxe, Pavones Cabin Rental.
Cabin at the jungle's edge in a tropical fruit orchard, broad band satellite internet, private river access and great wildlife watching from the hammock on your porch. 5 minutes from surf, supermarkets and restaurants. Screened bedroom with double bed, loft with 2 single beds and mosquito nets, private bath, living room, fully equipped kitchen, fans and safe. Enjoy the best of both worlds: privacy, peace and quiet, as well as proximity to town. The Jungle Deluxe cabin has a big open porch ideal for observing wildlife; monkeys, birds, sloths, iguanas and the occasional surprise! This cabin is for the slightly adventurous, a screened in bedroom and bathroom won't keep the squirrel monkeys or scarlet macaws from considering a quick visit on your porch. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, coffee maker, blender and 3 burner gas stove top. 11 Acres of nature and jungle views all over, with several panoramic view sites of the ocean; the Golfo Dulce and famous Pavones surf break. A tropical fruit orchard surrounds the cabin. The Rio Claro river with its' crystal clear, refreshing pools borders the property. Your host Elisabeth "Lili" Romano has been living in Pavones for 25 years and is available for questions and a tour of the orchard. Our location combines the best of both worlds in Pavones: We are at the edge of town on 11 acres of land – mostly jungle - where you get to watch birds, monkeys, the occasional sloth and anteater as well as enjoy tranquility and privacy. At the same time you're only a five to ten minute walk from Pavones' famous surfbreak and the center of town, restaurants, stores, etc. Parking is available, the parking area is close to all cabins. There's a neighborhood bicycle and quad rental at the bottom of our driveway that rent on a daily basis, practical if you would like to check out other beaches in the area. There's on demand taxi's as well. The public transportation is only twice a day: the bus leaves town to go to Golfito or Paso Canoas (the Panama border town) at 5:50am and returns at 12:30 noon, then leaves at 12:40 and returns around 5:00/5:30pm. On Sunday the bus only runs once a day, at 5:50am and comes back in in the evening. In the town of Pavones not everyone takes a card and the nearest ATM is a 3:00 hour round trip, so we recommend to bring enough cash to cover any expenses you may have during your stay. The local supermarket will sometimes give you cash from your card, but they charge at least 10% due to taxes. Pharmacies and Veterinarians are just as far as the ATM, to take into consideration.
