For custom design lovers this apartment is located in a charming renovated building right next to the Kalnciema cluster, which offers various activities throughout the year. The place is crafted by architects to optimize the space and enhance the beauty of existing elements. An original brick wall was well preserved and is a key interior element. The space was organized to create a flow and not boundaries between spaces. Materials and forms were carefully chosen to offer comfort and harmony. The space The building is fully renovated and its volume and facade really stands out from the other residential buildings in the area. The flat is organized in such a way to maintain a flow between spaces, it is not a typical flat with boring walls. High ceilings and big windows give a lot of volume and light to the living space. Specially designed sofa offers a nice place to relax. It can also serve as a supplementary bed for a third person (please select 3 people if you are planning to use the sofa as a bed). A cozy dining area is located between the living room and a spacious kitchen with a practical countertable and appliances like oven, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and portable stove. You will find all needed equipment for a short stay. The bedroom has a comfortable bed with two in-built wardrobes and a little station for work. There is a visual connection between the kitchen area and a bedroom, which allows cooking and looking through the window. The bathroom is located right next to the entrance area, it contains a toilet, a sink and a luxury shower with LED lighting and an authentic brick wall. There is a translucent wall behind the sink, which allows some natural daylight into the bathroom. We have chosen noble materials like plywood, cork, microcement, metal, brick, linen which makes a harmonious combination. The layout of the flat and all furniture was designed by me and my husband. We have put a lot of effort in crafting spaces and we hope that you will appreciate that and take care of it during your stay. There is a small utility space in the kitchen, behind two plywood doors, please, leave it to the cleaning services. We also kindly ask our guests not to use upper cupboards in the kitchen and in the bedroom, there is plenty of space in the easily accessible parts. Parking in the secured courtyard is included. You can also store your bikes there. Towels and bedding is included. Guest access The building is well located, which allows you to easily use public transportation to get from/to airport in about 15 min using bus 22 (bus stop is 2min away) and get to the old town in about 10 min. There is a public transportation stop which is visible from the windows. 24 hours before your reservation you will receive the codes to get to the courtyard, to the building and into the flat. If you arrive by car, firstly you will have to park it somewhere nearby and after you collect the kay from a specific box you will be able to drive in. Other things to note You can find three major grocery stores in the walking distance (Maxima, LIDL, RIMI) as well as the famous Kalnciema cluster right behind the corner. The pharmacy is nearby and there are various places to eat and drink. If you walk for 15 min you will arrive at the completely renovated Agenskalns Market - dynamic food court with a cheerful atmosphere.
