LOCAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESCRIPTION: The cottage is located in the tranquil Oberndorf, within a grown residential area along the village access road. In the village: restaurant as well as restaurant ship 'Mocambo’, well-equipped mom and pop shop for everyday needs, walks on the oste dike (attention: bathing in the oste only for experienced swimmers, current). Nearest shops and supermarket in Cadenberge (7 km). North Sea beach in Cuxhaven (40 km), Elbe beaches in Otterndorf (22 km) and island Krautsand (18 km). Sports and leisure facilities of the Wingst (4.5 km), indoor swimming pool and chalk lake in Hemmoor (7.4 km). WINGST NATURE PARK The Wingst Nature Park, a forested Geestrück, rises on an area of about 30 km² about 30 km southeast of Cuxhaven on the North Sea. In addition to the originality of nature (the widely branched Wingster forest and the flat marshland towards the Elbe), the small communities of the nearby area with their typical, Lower Saxon half-timbered buildings and thatched farmhouses (farm shops and cafes) also characterize the image of the area.
