A new residence is currently being built right across the street, and other construction work may take place in the surrounding area. Nothing major and nothing that has stopped our guests from enjoying their stay, but we prefer to mention it clearly to avoid any misunderstandings. If you are dreaming of absolute, monastery-style silence, it is better to know this in advance. (We prefer transparency to drama… and to avoiding a review worthy of a telenovela 🇲🇽) 🦎 This is the tropics Geckos, cockroaches or a little spider… it can happen. Not because of a lack of cleanliness, but simply because in Mauritius, nature has lived here far longer than we have. These little residents were here before, and they still pop in whenever they feel like it. Those who embrace it truly enjoy the island.
