It is only a short walk to Chinatown, and some of the best shopping, theatres, restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia are on your doorstep. Melbourne Central shopping centre, the Bourke Street Mall, Carlton Gardens and Melbourne Museum/IMAX theatre, Crown Casino, the Emporium, Federation Square, and the aquarium are all within easy walking distance. Getting There It's easy to get to Merigold 21 on Collins. From the airport, you can just take a taxi, or you can hop on the Skybus to Southern Cross Station. From there, it's a short walk and a free tram ride up Collins St to Swanston St, and Merigold is just across the road from where you get off the tram, and a few steps back to Manchester Lane Getting Around The trams in the Melbourne CBD are brilliant. The trams are only 100 metres away on Collins St or around the corner on Swanston St or down Degraves St. You can take a very short walk to Flinders St Station as well if you want to go a bit further. Also, if you only travel on the trams within the city grid, it's free, and you don't need a Myki card. Guest Interaction We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.
