Casa Monika Monte Generoso is situated between Lake Como and Lake Lugano, at an elevation of 1,070 meters above sea level, in a quiet and secluded location surrounded by nature. Enjoy the panoramic views and tranquility of the 2-room vacation apartment, which features a terrace and a kitchen. From here, you can embark on beautiful hikes and bike tours through the mountainous landscape, offering various stunning views of Monte Generoso, as well as excursions to the nearby villages and lakes. The space The two-room apartment consists of : - Separate entrance via the communal terrace - Bathroom with shower in bathtub - Double bed 180 cm wide - Sofa bed 140 cm wide - Parking space on the property - Access to the seating area in the garden possible Kitchen: - fully equipped kitchen - Please note: there's only a MINI OVEN IMPORTANT INFROMATION: - Please note our check-in times are from 15:00-22:00 o clock! - The nearest grocery shops are in Mendrisio or, if you are travelling by train, in Capolago-Riva San Vitale. Guest access By car: This property is located in a rather isolated mountainous area, about 30 minutes from Mendrisio (13 km), 1,070 meters above sea level. To reach it by car, it is necessary to drive along a narrow, winding paved mountain road. The road is not lit at night. The last 100 meters to the house are on a dirt road. The mountain road is partially one-lane. If you encounter another vehicle approaching, you may need to back up briefly to reach the nearest point to pass more easily with your vehicle. By public transport: The cog railway connects Capolago-Riva San Vitale with the summit of Monte Generoso. To reach our accommodation, please get off at the ‘Bellavista’ stop. From there it is a one-hour walk to our house called ‘Casa Monika Monte Generoso’. If you wish, we can pick you up by car near the restaurant ‘La Peonia’. To get to the meeting point, a 15-minute walk through the forest is required.
