Comfortable eco bungalow surrounded by green

The Veredas Homestead: A sweet, private spot in the middle of nature, yet not too far from civilization (1,5km from the center of Lençois) where you (and your company) can lay your head(s) to rest after a day of hiking. Read the information below carefully to see if this is your kind of stay! The space About our homestead: Our 2 rustic ecological bungalows that have everything to accommodate up to 6 people (3 per bungalow). The bungalows consist of a living room with table and chairs and sofa(bed), kitchen, (hot) shower, mezzanine with a couple mattress, an ecological cesspool toilet, porch with furniture and a hammock. We have amazing optic fiber Wi-fi. Located a bit outside of the busy center our place is surrounded by green. A great place to relax. In front of the bungalows we built a beautiful space sheltered from the rain for you to use our BBQ and firewood oven. There is a yoga patio, and a calisthenics space. We have fruit trees, a vegetable garden and a chicken coop. We strive to be as sustainable as possible: We have our own fresh water, solar water warming and ecological cesspool toilets. We intend to eventually convert to 100% solar energy. Our philosophy is sustainability and independence. We have fresh water from a well, a solar water heating system, ecological pit toilets, and eventually we want to run 100% on solar energy. We try very hard to improve waste management as well. We separate the organic waste from the dry waste. The organic waste can be put in a bucket that is left on the sink and gets composted afterwards. Regarding dry waste, we want to share with you our 5 R's philosophy: Reduce Refuse Rethink Reuse Recycle This is why we ask our guests to take their own non-recyclable trash with them at the end of their stay. We are all responsible for the amount of trash we create. We accept beer and soft drink cans as we donate them to the local NGO that takes care of the street animals in Lençóis. You are welcome to use all communal spaces provided that you take care of everything and clean after use. This goes for the bungalows as well. We don't have any personnel cleaning behind you, this is simply not our philosophy. We believe in mutual respect, and if everyone does their part, the place will remain pleasant and relaxing for everyone! So please, take out your trash, food rests and try to leave the place the way you received it, this way we can keep the price low, charging a tiny cleaning fee just to be able to pay for the cleaning products. THANK YOU! Guest access There is a parking next to the bungalows. Feel free to use all spaces on our land. Other things to note Get ready to drive a short (500-800m) part on a small dirt road. In some parts the road goes up quite a bit so don't be afraid to step on the accelerator. If you are terrified of dirt roads, better stay in the center of town! Being in the bush, GPS signals don't work as well. We usually send a drawn map (which you can also find in the airbnb photos), a detailed description and ont the way you will see signs with "Veredas" written on them. We usually communicate by Whtspp with our guests and always leave an extra phone number. But don't worry, it's very close and easy to find. pets: we love animals. Everyone is welcome (we don't want to discriminate) as long as they are calm. What do we mean by that? We have a puppy and kitten and it is important that your pet can live with them. We also don't want you to leave your dog locked inside the bungalow while you walk (unless it's an old bug that spends all its time sleeping). Find out well in advance which tours can take pets (some pets are prohibited). If you want help or tips, we are at your disposal. Our place is fenced, but as you know, dogs always find a little hole in the fence. Don't be responsible if your dog (attempts) to run away. The two bungalows are situated next to each other so you'll have maximum one neighbor nearby. If you want to reserve the barbecue space for a specific night, contact us so that we can communicate with your neighbors! Please don't make a lot of noise after 22h.
