The Coach House, North Yorkshire

Located in a peaceful village, a perfect, warm & cosy retreat to enjoy a relaxing break & explore North Yorkshire being equidistant between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales. Easy access to the A1, York, Ripon & Harrogate. Recently beautifully rebuilt with an open plan kitchen and sitting room with stone floor & bifold doors opening onto private terrace. The bedroom has a super king bed, Juliet balcony, window seat, ensuite with stand alone bath & rain drop shower. The space The Coach House was converted in late 2023 & completed in early 2024, it has two stories with an open plan kitchen & sitting room with a super king bedroom and ensuite. Although it only sleeps 2 people we are aware that guests might have friends living locally so there is room for them to entertain their guests with seating, cutlery and crockery for 4 people. Guests have their own paved terrace with newly planted borders including pleached pear trees. There is a chiminea and seating, cushions for lounging on the steps and outdoor dining. Our greenhouse is adjacent to your terrace but we will endeavour to water/maintain it when you are out and about exploring North Yorkshire. We do also offer a charcoal Weber BBQ for your use. The kitchen has an oven and 4 pan induction hob with extractor fan/light, Nespresso coffee machine & frother, fridge with small freezer compartment & a tap on the double belfast sink with an extendable hose. The bathroom has a stand alone bath, raindrop shower and towel rail and there is underfloor heating throughout which is run by solar power. Should you need anything at all then please do feel free to knock on our door and we will endeavor to help you as much as we can. NB - we accept a minimum of 7 nights bookings with change over being on a Friday Guest access You have the courtyard terrace to yourselves and can use the lawn area with the water feature but we do ask that the main terrace is kept private for our own use. We share the drive access so when parking please be aware not to block in any cars already in situ, or park up on the pavement. Other things to note We do provide a travel cot, high chair & cutlery & plates for one infant. The Coach House has been a few years in the making and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have building it. We would always respect other peoples homes and hope you feel the same. We are very lucky as there are some wonderful places to visit locally, here's just a few suggestions: Newby Hall - one of Britains finest Adam Houses set in glorious gardens with a sculpture park & you can even take a boat trip along the River Ure. Ripley Castle - The village of Ripley is based on a french village and is simply beautiful and the castle has been inhabited by the Ingilby family for well over 700 years! It is a great place to visit; Lunch at the Boars head, a tour of the castle finishing off with a wonder through the gardens and tea in the tea rooms Fountains Abbey - One of the largest and best preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in England & a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is truly beautiful with the Studley Roger water gardens and deer park. Brimham Rocks The Himalayan Gardens Ripon - The third smallest city in England & has a wonderful Cathedral to visit Harrogate Spa Town - Why not go for tea at Betty's Tearooms York - Visit the historic city, wonder down the Shambles, visit the dungeons or the Yorvick centre, so much to do.
