The nearby town of Carmarthen has a wide variety of amenities including cinema, leisure centre, bowling alley, market and excellent shopping. The National Botanic Garden of Wales, Aberglasney Gardens, Pembrey Country Park, numerous castles and Dylan Thomas' Laugharne are all easy to get to. Further afield, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Tenby and Saundersfoot are all accessible on a day trip. The area has a wealth of local foods and special treats to try out.
