Two fire pit locations for those evening campfires. South exposure for full daytime sun with large deck with dining and lounge patio furniture. Additional gazebo for relaxation and side covered porch with BBQ allowing for all-weather enjoyment. Air conditioning available for your comfort. Paddle boards and canoe available for use, at your own risk. Come winter, experience the beautiful Northern snowy winter on our large property, and cozy up in the evening around the fireplace. Our waterfront property gives direct access to Talon Lake, with skating, ice fishing, and endless room to explore! Snowmobilers welcome! Whether completing the legendary Round Algonquin Park Tour (we're a great alternative to a North Bay stop) or interested in exploring other areas, the local trail runs right in front of the cottage on the lake. Additionally, nearby Antoine Mountain Ski Hill (Mattawa) is just a 30-minute drive. Ready for babies and young kids with baby gates available for stairs, high chair, plastic plates/cups, and crib all ready for your use. New Spring 2025, upstairs bedrooms now completely closed in for privacy and noise control (previously open at ceiling). Only 30 minutes to North Bay for any outings or needed errands! Guest access Guest access to entire cottage, including main floor and upstairs. No guest access to unfinished basement or exterior garage. Other things to note Now with Wifi! Great speeds throughout the cottage. Bring your own bed linens (sheets and blankets), pillows, and towels (kitchen and bathroom). We provide mattress covers on all the beds. Linens may be available for additional fee if needed. Tap water is tested yearly and safe to drink, however it does have a mild sulphur odour. If you prefer to bring your own water, we have a water cooler available for you to bring your own water jugs. Firewood is provided for your stay. Free public boat launch just 15-minutes away. Talon Lake is known for excellent fishing - musky, pike, trout, bass, and walleye. Our cottage is accessed via a well-maintained private road with some hills. In the winter, conditions can be snowy or icy at times. We recommend that guests be prepared for typical winter driving in snowy areas and use appropriate caution when travelling.
