A house rich in history and culture in a characteristic village The space The Atelier was born as a painting and architecture studio of the artist Piero Gauli, who belonged to the Corrente movement in the years between the two world wars and then experimented with various artistic techniques. A place where he took refuge to seek peace and inspiration. On the ground floor of this renovated former barn you will find an open space with dining table, sofa and a small kitchen with 4 gas burners, double sink, refrigerator and everything you need to cook tasty dishes. There is a microwave oven, an immersion blender and an electric kettle. The local stone floor makes the environment original and characteristic. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and bidet. A stone and brick staircase leads to the large bedroom consisting of a double bed with sink and, separated by a large bookcase, two comfortable armchair beds. The large library is full of volumes on art and culture. An antique table will welcome you in times of work or relaxation. A column fan will make the nights more pleasant in case of excessive heat. If necessary, there is an electric broom and cleaning supplies The panoramic garden equipped with a table, hammock, barbecue, and a beautiful hot outdoor shower (8-liter tank) overlooks Lake Lugano (Ceresio), offering magical moments surrounded by the Intelvi Valley and unspoiled nature, allowing unique encounters with local fauna (deer, wild boars, foxes, weasels, badgers...). From here, there are beautiful trails to the lake or the mountain lined with streams where you can dive in and cool off and breathtaking views. Nearby you can practice golf, tennis, horseback riding, climbing, mountain biking, e-biking, ski mountaineering, fishing and boat rides on Lake Como (Lario) and Lugano. The churches enriched with 17th-century stuccos by the Comacine masters characterize each village. There is no shortage of cabins and shelters where you can taste local products.
