Description

Prime waterside location with stunning views of the River Bure and beyond within walking distance of Wroxham, the Gateway to the Broads with its supermarket, restaurants, cafes, everything needed for a relaxing break. Why not hire a day boat and explore the lovely scenery of the Broads National Park. The historical city of Norwich is a half hour bus ride away and the beautiful sandy beaches of the Norfolk Coast are within a half hour drive. The space The entrance to Bure Cottage is through an enclosed hall with space to hang coats and leave boots, shoes and fishing equipment. This leads into a light and airy open-plan living area with fully equipped kitchen, small dining area and comfortable lounge. The kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering holiday including electric cooker with 4 zone induction hob, oven with integrated grill, fridge, microwave, kettle, cafetiere and toaster. There are plenty of pots and pans, mugs, glasses, plates and cutlery. for preparing your own meals The lounge area has two 2 seater faux leather sofas, television, thermostatically controlled electric panel heater. There are glorious views from the French doors to the waterways, River Bure and beyond. Upstairs are two bedrooms with plenty of storage space. One is a double with a thermostatically controlled electric panel heater, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets. There is also a wall-mounted television. The second bedroom is a twin with a thermostatically controlled electric panel heater, two large single beds, television, built in wardrobe, with a chest of drawers, additional chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet. There are fabulous views of the marina and River Bure from the window. A bathroom is also located upstairs containing a walk-in shower enclosure with a thermostatic electric shower, heated towel radiator, extractor fan, close-coupled w.c. and a vanity unit wash basin. Outside is a small raised south-facing seating area with table and chairs overlooking the lawned communal gardens leading directly onto the river Bure. Here you can sit and relax with a mug of tea or glass of wine and watch the world go by. Fishing is available directly outside the cottage and almost anywhere within the grounds of the communal garden within the open fishing season. Free fast wi-fi is available throughout the property and parking for one car in the adjacent secure car park is included. Additional spaces are available for £6 per space per day. Guest access You have the entire cottage and raised south east facing seating area to yourself. You can sit and relax almost anywhere within the large communal gardens where you can watch the boats and the wildlife toing and froing along the river. Fishing is possible anywhere within the waterside gardens within season and there are plenty of private or group boat hire options available within the village. Other things to note Bure Cottage is fully inclusive of all heating , electricity and fast broadband Wi-fi .All bed linen is included and beds are made up for your arrival. A small but useful kitchen washing up pack and welcome refreshments are also provided so you can sit back and unwind with a hot drink as soon as you arrive. One hand and one bath towel are provided per guest. There is no slipway within the Peninsula Cottages site and so unfortunately it is not possible to launch your own vessels this way. There is however a public slipway in Wroxham and also throughout the Norfolk Broads. Please see the Broads Authority website for details.
