Superbly located for a short trip into town-this character-filled, second(2nd)-floor, one(1)-bed London flat is set within a building with rich industrial and military history Hop on the Jubilee Line tube at Bermondsey Station, just 7 min walk away, walk to London Bridge in 18 mins or take a short stroll to Shad Thames and Tower Bridge for an abundance of restaurants, bars and local shops. Arranged on one spacious floor, this light-filled, comfortable flat is a perfect London retreat. The space Bermondsey is a wonderful area of SE16, South East London. the neighbourhood has a relaxed feel with tons of great restaurants and galleries. The flat is a large 1-bed flat on the first floor of a newly built development. On entering the living space, along the hallway is the modern, light-filled bedroom straight ahead of you. The bedroom is perfectly located at the back of the property, overlooking Old Jamaica Road. There is a comfortable king-sized bed, bedside tables and bedside lamps (there is an additional reading lamp attached to the bed) and a wonderfully sized wardrobe with sliding mirrored doors, for guest belongings. Along from the bedroom is the spacious shower room with shower, basin, WC and towel rail. There is shelving for toiletries and belongings. Further along the hallway is the open-plan kitchen/living area. There is a fully integrated kitchen with all appliances/conveniences and plentiful cupboards and workspace. There is a Nespresso Krups coffee machine to enjoy, with some pods available. Within the kitchen area, there is a large wooden table, with a bench on one side and wooden chairs on the other side. The bright living room area has unique artwork and a sofa with cushions where guests can relax, reading or watching TV. Additionally, there are two armchairs. This room benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows with natural light pouring in. This room leads out onto a balcony area with 2 chairs and a coffee table, perfect for enjoying some outdoor relaxation. Alongside the sofa and TV (not a smart TV) area there is the added convenience of a desk and comfortable high-back office chair for guests wishing to work or study. There is a communal shared courtyard area, at street level, which guests can use during their stay. The flat is professionally cleaned, and the linen and towels are replaced with freshly laundered supplies between each stay. Each guest will receive one hand towel and a shower towel to use for the stay. There will be some complimentary tea and coffee, as well as travel-sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel, and soap. Other items provided during guest stays are a washing-up pack, toilet roll, and kitchen roll. These should last a couple of days. If more is needed, there are various convenience stores and supermarkets locally, including a larger Tesco convenience store on 78-82 Jamaica Road, SE16 4BA, approximately a 2-minute walk away. - Parking - There is paid parking available on Old Jamaica Road; these parking spaces are limited in number and are subject to availability. The flat is located within the London Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) and charges may apply for drivers. Guest access Guests will have full access to the whole property aside from the drawers under the bed which are used for some owner's belongings. There is still plenty of storage space for guests' belongings with the large wardrobe and bedside drawers. I won't be around in person during your stay, however, a remote self-check-in gives flexibility for arrivals, after 3pm. My property management company, Pass the Keys®, is on hand to provide 24/7 guest support should guests need any assistance during their stay. Other things to note The building is built on the site of the 22ND BATTALION, LONDON REGIMENT. To commemorate the site a War Memorial is built into the side of the building using main Portland stone, dedicated to the 22nd Bn London Regiment WW1. There is also a bronze plaque in memory of those that fell in WW2 from the 6th (Bermondsey) Bn, The Queens Royal Regiment. For guest and building safety there is 24-hour CCTV at the entrance of the building. There are 2 lifts available to the 2nd floor. It is a very secure building with key fobs needed to access both the entrance and the relevant floor. The TV is not a Smart TV.
