Guest access Guests will have full private access to the entire chalet and its amenities, including all 4 bedrooms, 2 lofts, fully equipped kitchen, living areas, outdoor spaces, hot tub, and seasonal heated pool. Detailed check-in instructions and access information will be sent on the day of arrival, including how to enter the property and everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay at Opulant Oak Chalet. To ensure a safe, clean, and relaxing experience for all guests, please take a moment to review and follow our house rules. --- General Rules No parties or events without prior approval. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight. Please keep shoes off inside the home. Do not rearrange furniture without permission. Respect the property and leave it in the condition it was found. --- Pet Policy One-time pet fee applies per pet (limit 1 unless approved in advance). Pets must be fully potty trained. Please bring your pet’s own bedding—no pets on beds or furniture. A $500 cleaning fee applies if there are pet-related incidents inside the house. --- Smoking Policy No smoking allowed indoors or on the deck. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vapes, and e-cigarettes. A $1,000 fine will be charged for any indoor smoking. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas away from doors and windows. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly. --- Cleaning & Damage The standard cleaning fee covers general cleaning only. Excessive cleaning will be charged at $100/hour. Failure to dispose of garbage properly will incur a $250 fee. Stained linens or towels will be charged at $50 per item. Major incidents (e.g., vomiting or spills on furniture) without proper cleanup will result in a $400 charge per incident. --- Water Use Tap water is not suitable for drinking. Please bring your own bottled or filtered drinking water. --- Guest Policy The number of guests must be disclosed in advance. Unapproved guests will be charged $100 per person, even if they don’t stay overnight. --- Pool season: May 1 – September 30 Pool temperature: Heated to ~26°C (80°F) — please note, this is not hot tub temperature Pool hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM Pool lights: Available upon request (max 2 hours per night) Hot tub hours: 24 hours a day Hot tub season: Open year-round Important Safety Rules: Use of the pool and hot tub is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times in the pool and hot tub areas. No glass, food, or drink in the pool or hot tub areas. No animals on the pool deck or in the water. No running, diving, or horseplay. Maximum pool occupancy: 14 people Maximum hot tub occupancy: 10 people --- Safety & Liability The property is surrounded by farmland and forest—wildlife (including bears and eagles) may be present. Do not feed or approach wildlife. There is a creek and a bridge on-site. Use caution and supervise children at all times. The property has elevated decks and stairs (over 30")—watch your step and supervise children. There is an old treehouse on the property that is off-limits and unsafe. Do not attempt to climb or enter it. The property is safe for kids, but due to stairs, decks, and natural features, children must be supervised closely at all times. By booking your stay, you agree to follow these rules and understand that use of the property, pool, and hot tub is at your own risk.
