Your seaside holiday cottage is perfectly positioned just steps from the beach and pub, and within a short stroll of the town’s shops, restaurants, and cafes, pubs. After a day of seaside adventures, up to 7 guests and your dogs can gather on the private alfresco and dining terraces soaking in breathtaking sea views, and enjoying the fire pit. Inside, the open-plan dining lounge welcomes you with sumptuous velvet sofas and a cosy gas stove, before you retire to the comfort of plush bedrooms. Guest access Sandside Beachfront Cottage is on the corner of Marine Parade and Diamond Street. It’s part of the large red brick building built in 1855 that includes The Marine Pub on Marine Parade. The postcode is TS12 1DZ. If you arrive by train or bus, walk via the Sainsbury Supermarket and down Diamond Street towards the seashore. Jut before you arrive at the upper promenade known as Marine Parade, Sandside Beachfront Cottage can be found on the right-hand side. It has ivy hedges and a timber gate with the cottage’s house sign. Arriving by car is really easy. Follow signs for Saltburn, and then ‘seafront or tramway’ when you arrive in the town. Better still follow your Satnav to TS12 1DZ. You’ll arrive on the upper promenade known as Marine Parade. You’ll see the tramway to the beach and then just opposite there is the Marine Pub. Looking at the pub from the sea, carry on to the right where there is a junction onto Diamond Street. Sandside Beachfront Cottage is a few metres up Diamond Street on the left-hand side. It has ivy hedges and a timber gate with the cottage’s house sign. You can park anywhere that there is space on Marine Parade, on Diamond Street, or on any other close by street. On-street parking is free in Saltburn. When you arrive at the gate for Sandside Beachfront Cottage, you’ll find a keypad-controlled door handle. We will email you the keypad code for your gate closer to your check-in. On opening the gate, you will then find a key box on the rear of the gate in which are the keys to your cottage. Again, we will email the key box code closer to your check-in. Please use the property gate when you are coming and going during your holiday. When inside the property, the doorway to the left in the hallway leads to your open plan kitchen. At the rear of the kitchen is a sliding door. Please slide it open to get access to the spiral staircase to the upstairs, and to the back door. The back door opens into a rear courtyard where you will find the bins and recycling for the property, and here you can also store bikes, water sports equipment etc. The gate at the rear of the courtyard has a lock with a key in it. Feel free to use this rear gate, but please keep it locked from the inside and leave the key in the lock. Of course, if you have any trouble finding and accessing the property, contact numbers will be provided after booking so you can contact us directly. Other things to note ~ Access to the property is via 4 external terrace steps. ~ Access to Bedroom 2 is via a spiral staircase that is quite steep. ~ There is no walk-in shower on the ground floor of the property. ~ The are magnificent sea views from the external terraces, but not from inside the cottage. ~ If guests want to use the BBQ and fire pit, they should bring fuel to the property. ~ Guests are welcome to have food delivered to the property. ✔ This is the boyhood home of rock star legend David Coverdale (Whitesnake and Deep Purple)
