Other things to note Please read this information carefully before booking to stay - Optional Extras – Enhance your stay: 🌡 Hot tub light-up service – £35 (Arrive to a ready-to-use hot tub.) 🍾 Celebration package – £20 (Includes decorations & prosecco!) 🔥 Extra log bundle – £15 (Recommended if you plan to use the hot tub and heat it yourself.) 🎅 Tastefully decorated for the Christmas season - 21st November - 5th January. 🦙 Alpaca Experience – £20pp (A guided 1-hour alpaca woodland walk.) Simply message us after you book and we can discuss any optional extras you may need. 📌 Important to Know • No TV or Wifi (but great 4G/5G reception). • Charging points available for devices. • No hairdryers or iron – The plug points in the hut cannot support them. • Fire-starting  – Full instructions are provided, but we won’t always be available to assist. The hot tub is wood fired and take 2 - 3 hours to heat up. Full instructions are provided in the hut. The shepherd’s hut is heated by a traditional wood-burning stove - It keeps the space wonderfully warm and cosy but requires manual lighting and tending. We provide you with enough wood and kindling for your first night. • The fridge is solar powered, which means it's eco-friendly and keeps your food and drinks nicely cool. However, it doesn’t have a freezer and isn’t quite as powerful as a standard home fridge. If you're hoping for super icy cold drinks, we recommend picking up a bag of ice on your way. 🚫 No Dogs Policy To protect the wellbeing of our animals and the safety of all guests, our site is strictly dog-free. No dogs are allowed anywhere on site - including in cabins, vehicles, or outdoor areas. This rule applies to all visitors, including day guests. Guests who bring dogs onto the site will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund. Why this is important - Our alpacas are the heart of our farm. They are particularly vulnerable to stress, especially when pregnant. The presence or scent of dogs can cause them serious harm and may risk the loss of a pregnancy. For their safety, and to protect our livelihood, we must enforce this rule without exceptions. We understand dogs are part of the family, but we kindly ask you to make alternative arrangements before you arrive. Thank you for helping us keep our alpacas safe and healthy. 🦙 We look forward to welcoming you to the Darling Woods of May!
