This well-kept home above Embajadoras Park is only a 10- or 15-minute walk to the historic center of Guanajuato City and sleeps up to 6 people (or 7 if one is a child) in comfort and privacy. It has a more sensible layout than you find in many Guanajuato houses, with no tiny rooms and plenty of open spaces. The space The remodeled talavera tile kitchen has a full fridge and stove and plenty of small appliances, cookware, dishes, and glasses. This may be the best-equipped kitchen in the city if you are looking to prepare great meals. The open dining room and living room are great social spaces and the flat-screen Smart TV has Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, and local cable (mostly Spanish) plus a DVD player. The master bedroom has a king bed and terrific view, while the other two bedrooms have a queen bed. The last is an room with desk that also has a twin bed. A washing machine is located in the large sunroom, which has panoramic city and mountain views. A small balcony runs the length of the house. Internet is fiber via Megacable and averages 30 mbps, peaking at 40. We are able to run video calls on two computers simultaneously, upload videos in a hurry, and stream from all the video networks with no glitches. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house. Other things to note This house, like most near the historic center, is located on a pedestrian-only street with lots of stairs. It is NOT appropriate for those with limited mobility and there is no parking. Also, Mexican neighborhoods are not divided by skin color, ethnicity, or income level and there's no "expat zone" where foreigners clump together in Guanajuato. If you're used to gated community life cut off from the whole spectrum of local residents, this might not be a good match. If you want to "travel like a local" though, this is a great spot in a real neighborhood that's very convenient to the city's offerings. MAXIMUM of 7 guests, including children.
