The space Indulge yourself with the breathtaking views of RIce Lake from our newly renovated space. Open concept living room and kitchen with views to both the lake and the countryside. Upstairs, there is a large bedroom space with a small sitting area to work, read, enjoy a coffee or just immerse yourself in the lake view. A stone patio surrounds both patio doors if you would rather sit outside. The suite is situated on the edge of RIce Lake, close to the village of Keene. Painters and artists alike would find inspiration in the sunset or sunrise views. Birders would be astounded by the many different kinds of waterfowl RIce Lake has to offer as well as the sound of the sand hill cranes. Walk out your door down a quiet cottage road, along farmers fields and small wooded spaces. If you are in the area for fishing, there is a public boat launch at the end of the road. We have room to leave a boat trailer if necessary. In the winter, there is easy access to the lake for ice fishing. We do have room to leave your boat trailer if necessary. Other things to note RIce Lake is known for its abundance of pan fish and is famous for its Muskie fishing. These predator fish can tip the scales in the 30lb range. There is nearby access to the lake for both ice fishing and a public boat launch. Keene also is known for one of the best places to get authentic barbeque during the summer season and hosts a ribfest locals love! We are also close to area wedding venues, the trans Canada rail trail, Peterborough Canoe Musuem, Lift Locks, Rolling Grape Vineyard and more!
