Stay in a charming, newly renovated, century home located in the historic Victoria Park District! You'll have the entire third floor to yourself (private entrance). The space is a 2 bed 1 bath & includes amenities to make your stay comfortable & memorable. Enjoy a comfy bed, kitchenette (& well-stocked coffee bar!), roko tv & private balcony. The washroom features a rainfall showerhead & heated floors. We ❤️ curating amazing stays & offer an experience beyond what a hotel will provide! The space Our house was built in 1907 and many of the historic features have been maintained over the years including the wood features and stained glass. The top floor has been newly renovated and is a fun colourful contrast to the more traditional parts of the home. Your suite is the located on the 2nd and 3rd floor and is well separated from the rest of the house. It has a private entrance with a smart lock for self check-in. There are many stairs to get up to the suite (as pictured). You have a private balcony off the 2nd floor. Our backyard is a little oasis in the city in the summertime. It’s shared with us so we may be out there at times, but you’re more than welcome to use it as well during your stay. Walking distance to: - Victoria Park (~2 min walk) - Downtown Kitchener (~7 min walk) - The Walper Hotel (~7 min walk) - The Museum (~ 10 min walk) - Conestoga College Kitchener (~13 min walk) - Kitchener City Hall (~14 min walk) - Communitech (~15 min walk) - Kitchener Market (~15 min walk) - St Mary’s Hospital (~15 min walk) - Centre in the Square (~20 min walk) - G oogle (~20 min walk) - Go Station/via rail (~22 min walk) In the summer there are also electric scooters nearby. We are also on a main bus line and a 7-15 min walk to various central LRT stops. Guest access You have access to the entryway on the first floor, the balcony on the second floor (it gets beautiful sun in the mornings!) and the entire third floor. You also have access to our backyard (shared with us). Access to the backyard is restricted after 10pm to respect our neighbours. Other things to note Although this suite is located in our home you will feel very separated from the rest of the house. Sound does not carry to or from the third floor easily. The kitchen is a kitchenette (no oven, stove or freezer). Heating/Cooling notes: The bathroom has in-floor heating that you can adjust with the thermostat on the wall. There is a brand new (quiet and effective!) Midea window air conditioner in the main kitchen area and a portable air conditioner window air conditioner in the front living room. You can adjust the a/c as needed. There is a Dyson floor fan and table fan in the bedroom and a ceiling fan in the front room. Location: Our house is centrally located, near a busy intersection and some traffic noise is unavoidable (particularly around rush hour). That being said, the windows were all upgraded and do an excellent job of dampening sound. If traffic is heavy we suggest doing a 3 point turn in the driveway in order to exit the driveway facing forward.
